汪曾祺是现当代文学史上一位与众不同的作家。他身处的历史阶段决定了他的小说与传统文化和西方文化有着密不可分的关联，既有浓厚的中国传统文化底蕴，又有西方文化内涵。他的作品衔接了中国传统文学和现当代文学两个重要时期。他的小说中描写了形形色色的人物及其丰富细腻的情感。本文拟对汪曾祺小说的情感主题进行深入细致地阐述。绪论部分对汪曾祺小说研究的情况进行梳理，并对本文研究的必要性、研究方法、角度，以及研究的思路进行了简要的介绍。本文分成三个部分：第一部介绍了汪曾祺小说思想文化资源；第二部分讨论了汪曾祺小说以情感为中心的主题；第三部分论述了汪曾祺小说的艺术风格。第一部分汪曾祺小说的思想资源。首先，论述汪曾祺小说对“五四”新文化运动文学资源的接受，对西方个人主义、人道主义思想的借鉴与吸收；其次，论述汪曾祺小说对中国传统文化的继承，体现了深厚的儒家、道家和佛家思想；最后，论述汪曾祺小说对西方现代文学中存在主义的接受和渗透。汪曾祺的小说呈现出以中国传统文化为主，西方思想为辅的特点。第二部分通过对汪曾祺小说中的文化资源的研究所得出的结果来分析以情感为中心的主题思想。汪曾祺打通古今和中西文化之后，开辟了一个广阔的审美艺术空间。在这个空间中展现人类普遍的情感：友情、爱情和陌生人之间的情感。通过对这些情感的描写，汪曾祺的小说引发了人们的深入思考：人性的高尚和卑微；生命的坚韧和柔弱；欲望的放纵和回归等等。第三部分汪曾祺小说呈现出多重艺术风格。作为传统士大夫，他深得中国古代文学的美学要义。他的小说创作具有平和与冲淡之风；作为现代自由知识分子，他的小说创作中又蕴含着强烈的悲剧意识，含有悲凉与哀痛之感；因汪曾祺选择民间和日常生活作为其展现情感的土壤，所以他的小说又传递出浓郁的民间乡土气息。

Wang Zeng-qi was such a gift in the history of modern and contemporary literature of China that he linked Chinese traditional culture with Western culture. His short stories is highly enriching in profound connotation of both Chinese and Western culture. A lot of various persons and their feelings are smartly presented in his short stories. The thesis will discuss the theme of feelings of his Short Stories.In the prologue, present findings and fruits on Wang’s fictions are sorted, including the inheritance of traditional culture, the features of literary form, the sense of folk and locality, the comparison with other novelists of Beijing Group, and the influence of Western Modernism. Besides, researching significance and approaches, and points of view are also introduced.The thesis forms into three sections: Section 1: the cultural resources of Wang’s short stories; Section 2: the subjects of emotion connotation based on human nature; Section 3: Wang’s artistic characters.The Section of “the cultural resources of Wang’s short stories” is divided into three subsections, namely, the absorption of the May 4th Cultural Movement, the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture, and the acceptance of the Western Modernism.Next, Section 2 also contains three subsections, aiming at analyzing the theme of feeling according to the result of the section. Wang Zeng-qi creates a wide range of art space, in which human feelings, such as those of friends, lovers and strangers, can reflect nobility or humility of human nature, the tenacity of living force, and plain humanism.Last but not least, in this section, the works of Wang Zeng-qi show multiple artistic style: peacefulness and tranquility, for he, being a traditional scholar, knows well aesthetics of ancient Chinese; sadness and distress, for his creations, as a modern intellectual, imply strong tragedy consciousness; the strong sense of folk and locality, for he is rooted himself in the Chinese folk world.
