第二次布匿战争是罗马共和国最关键、最艰苦的一场战争。记述这场战争的著作很多。古代著名历史学家李维、波利比乌斯、阿庇安等都为保存布匿战争的相关材料做出过重大的贡献。 本文研究的对象《布匿战纪》是一部以第二次布匿战争为背景的史诗作品。对于这部作品的解读，学术界历来意见不一，争论不少。本文的目的是想抛开历来的争论，只就史诗中蕴含的历史因素作一剖析，并对《布匿战纪》的写作特点提出笔者自己的看法。 全文分为五章。第一章是前言部分，主要介绍本文选题的意义及学术界对《布匿战纪》的评论。第二章简要评述西利乌斯的生平及《布匿战纪》的价值。第三章是文章的核心部分。笔者从诗作中体现出的三种历史观念入手，分析、研究作品中蕴含的历史因素。第四章中笔者探究了《布匿战纪》的写作特点，认为诗与史的结合是作者追求的重要目标。文章的最后认为：作为最为重要的拉丁诗歌之一，西利乌斯的《布匿战纪》虽然有很多明显的缺陷和不足，但它确实能给后人提供许多历史素材以及值得大家关注的处理历史素材的方法。

The Second Punic War was the most crucial and hardest period in the history of the Rome Republic. There were many books describing this war. Many famous ancient historians such as Livy, Polybius and Appian, had made great contributions to conserve materials about this war. The Punica whose subject was the Second Punic War, is my dissertation's object. It was an epic work. In academia, there were different interpretations and criticisms about this epic. My dissertation aims to throw off these different arguments. It will only analysis the historical factors of the epic and explores its writing features. The whole dissertation consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the preface, which tells the significance of my topic and the academic evaluation about Punica. The second chapter gives a detail introduction about Silius and his poem Punica. The third chapter is the centre of my dissertation. I analyze the historical factors of Punica with three historical ideas of the poet. The fourth chapter explores the writing features of Punica. I think the most important writing feature is that Silius combines the history with poem. In the last chapter, I consider that as one of the most important Latin poems, Punica of Silius had many defects, but it indeed offered a lot of historical factors to later generations, and taught us methods about how to deal with historical factors.
