本文首先介绍翻译项目背景，其次，通过分析文本语言难度、文本体裁和语言风格、及对话中话语标记与引语标记的类型，得出源语文本词句简单，可读性强，兼具书面语和口头语的特点，确定了译文平实流畅的语言风格。其次，本文聚焦文本对话中的话语标记和引语标记翻译问题，提出相应的翻译方法。在案例分析中，针对话语标记，报告指出译者需要结合上下语境，根据话语标记的语用功能，通过明晰充实、合并省略和换序组合三种翻译方法灵活处理。针对引语标记，报告中提出译者需要规范符号类引语标记、充实文本类引语标记以及调整或删去插入式引语标记。最后，报告认为译者应把握英汉话语标记和引语标记的异同，选择合适的翻译方法，同时还需明确受访者和采访者、访谈主题、线索和形式，才能译好同类型访谈类文本。

Centered around the theme of hope, The Book of Hope is a travelogue consisting of vivid narrative stories and interviews between Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams. The book primarily discusses how we understand hope and why Jane maintains hope in trying times, using simple and colloquial language while maintaining a sense of formality.
It begins by exploring text readability and identifying the text type, style, and writing features and then focuses on the discourse markers and quotation markers that are prevalent throughout the book, classifying them according to their functions in the text based on knowledge of pragmatics. The report emphasizes the importance of context and provides examples to illustrate translation techniques, such as adding more information to clarify meaning, omitting unnecessary expressions to make the text more streamlined, and combining markers to make language more concise. Finally, it argues that in order to handle such texts and produce a high-quality translation, the translator must have a certain background knowledge of both the interviewer and interviewee, explore the theme of discussion fully, and find a balance between written language and spoken language.
