Let p ∈ (1,∞) and q ∈ [1,∞). In this article, the authors obtain several new characterizations of the Triebel-Lizorkin space Fα p,q(Rn) with smoothness order α ∈ (0, 2) via some generalized Littlewood-Paley functions. As an application, the authors obtain a series of new characterizations of Fαp,∞(Rn) via pointwise inequalities.This article is accepted by J. Nonlinear Convex Anal.
