本篇论文的写作目的是探求汉族民间传统艺术活动“社火”及其中的“高台”表演在青海地区自明代起兴盛，至今方兴未艾的原因。通过论述传统社火的意义功能并介绍青海社火的表演现况，结合青海独特的地理历史背景，得出社火祭神娱人的功能是当地汉族人继承发展社火的重要原因。并将社火与西方狂欢节的表演形式加以对比，指出基于 “汉民族的节日，主要功能在于伦理道德上的传承而不仅是给人们提供欢娱”这一共性原则，“高台”作为弘扬汉族传统美德的载体成为社火的有机组成部分。通过梳理“高台”在中国历史上的发展演变，分析青海省湟中县“高台”所体现出的原生态性和实用性，并对“高台”的表现内容和造型艺术进行研究，得出正是三者的完美结合使它成为被群众所珍视，在当地生生不息的原因。

The folk art of "Gao Tai" --a performance with legendary and historical figures is one part of the traditional folk activity "She Huo"for Han peoples performed during the Spring Festival. It has a splendid long history and has been loved by the masses ever since its appearance in Qing Hai province during the Qing dynasty . This article aims to find out the reasons why this performance is continuously passed down by researching its form and contents of expression. The breathtaking and dangerous acrobatics ,its inspiring and virtuous message, profound grasp of folk culture have made this art a permanent fixture in the local area.
