本文借鉴前人研究成果，尤其是杨树达《中国修辞学》一书，参照其条例，对《左传》修辞方式加以探究。本文探讨的《左传》修辞例包括改易例、增益例、删削例、避讳例、婉曲例、借代例、连及例、存真例八个方面的内容。《左传》作为一部史书，成书时对前代史书加以增删改。《左传》改《春秋》，既是一种解释方法，也是一种修辞方法，在“春秋三传”中，《左传》的解说独树一帜；增益例和删削例互为补充，有些内容《经》详细《传》便从略，不与《经》相重复，《经》略《传》便详细补充，《左传》于增减错综中释义，这样也形成了《左传》的风格。《左传》秉承《春秋》“为尊者讳”的思想，在记史时有诸多避讳，带有浓厚的道德伦理色彩。《左传》委婉曲折的表达法特别多，称为婉曲例。另一方面，为了表现当时真实情状，《左传》中有一些保留当时说话语气以及不避粗俗的语辞。通过对《左传》修辞的探讨，我们可以更深刻地理解《左传》工于记言的特点以及浓厚的道德伦理色彩。

This paper refers to predecessors' achievements, especially YangShuda’s book named Chinese Rhetoric. Following the regulations of Chinese Rhetoric, This paper analyses ZuoZhuan rhetoric as transformation examples, addition examples, deletion examples, taboo examples, metonymy examples, LianJi examples, etc. ZuoZhuan changes records of previous history books, including changing, increasing or deleting. This is not only a kind of interpretation method, but also a kind of rhetorical method. Gain examples and deletion examples supplement each other. The book named ChunQiu has many taboos for respect persons such as their monarchs, ZuoZhuan follows this kind of rhetoric method. It reflects personal loyalty between the compilers and their monarchs, with a strong ethical color. ZuoZhuan contains many tactful expressions much more special, pursuit of elegant and implicit style. In order to show real situation, ZuoZhuan retains character tone of voice and vulgar language phrases. Based on the discussion of ZuoZhuan rhetoric, we can understand better that recording words of ZuoZhuan are perfect and have a strong ethical color.
