在中国新诗史上，于赓虞是一位长期被忽视了的诗人。这种忽视与于赓虞在中国新诗史上所应有的历史地位并不相符。中国现代文学前二十年间，于赓虞不仅以自己的诗歌创作实绩和独特的艺术风格丰富了中国新诗的内涵，而且提出了富有创见且较为系统的诗学主张，对新诗理论的早期建设做出了较为突出的贡献。本文即意在通过展开具体的文本分析，对于赓虞的诗歌创作和诗学思想进行较为深入地阐述，揭示其所取得的具体成就，以及它对于中国新诗尤其是中国现代主义诗歌的发展所具有的独特意义，并据此对于赓虞在中国新诗史上的地位做出较为准确、客观的评价。 本文将首先交代于赓虞的简略生平以及中西方思潮对他的影响。在各种西方思潮中，现代生命哲学直接促成了他强烈的自我生命意识的形成，深刻地影响了他的诗歌创作和诗学观念。浪漫主义影响到他对自我情感表达的凸显，前期象征主义则使于赓虞深受“颓废诗学”观念的影响，并借此在诗歌创作中对现代中国人的个人内心体验进行了前所未有的深度发掘。而于赓虞所处时代具体的文化语境，也使得他的诗文中体现了一定的中国元素。 于赓虞以诗是“生命的艺术”为命题所构建的“生命诗学”是本文的另一关注点。在他看来，诗是个人或自由的艺术，创造的艺术，抒情的艺术，为诗而诗或“诗止于诗”的艺术，“完美的艺术”，这些主张都统摄于作为主体的自我的“生命”。其中“诗止于诗”的主张对于“纯诗”的中国化起到了积极的推动作用；“完美的艺术”的主张则彰显了对诗歌“形”与“质”之间关系的辩证理解。执着于自我，认为诗是“生命的力量的表现”，于赓虞的这种“生命诗学”的确是中国新诗史上最早的现代主义诗歌理论成果之一。 以孤独的“自我”反复吟唱“生命”之歌，这在于赓虞的诗歌创作当中是一以贯之的。他的中后期诗作深入地揭示了个人内心世界强烈的生命孤独感和浓烈的颓废意识，展现了怪异奇谲的“恶魔”世界，开拓了中国新诗的新领域，呈现了与众不同的艺术风貌，充分展示了于赓虞对包括象征主义在内的中国现代主义诗艺的发展做出的独特贡献。 于赓虞的上述努力，充分呈现了他对于中国新诗及其理论的特殊意义。在新诗理论建设方面，他是早期建设时期中少有的对新诗理论展开较为系统研究的诗论家之一，其以“生命”为内核的“生命诗学”是中国现代主义诗歌理论史上具有拓荒意义的诗学思想之一；其诗歌创作也在中国新诗史尤其是中国现代主义诗歌史上占有较为重要的地位。

In the history of modern Chinese poetry, Yu Gengyu is a neglected poet for a long time. The neglect doesn’t match with his historical position in the modern Chinese poetry history. As a poet and poetry theorist mainly active in Chinese modern literature in the first 20 years last century, Yu Gengyu not only enriched the connotation of Chinese modern poetry by his outstanding poetry writing performance and unique art style, but also kept close watch on the modern Chinese poetry theory construction, and he put forward poetry theories systemically with his own creative opinion, which is apparently very important to the modern Chinese poetry construction in leading stings from 1920’s to 1930’s last century. The theme expounds Yu Gengyu’s poetry writing and poetry theory deeply by concrete text analysis, opens out his achievement and particular significance to develop modern Chinese poetry, and thus gives an actual and impersonal remark on his position in modern Chinese poetry. Firstly, the theme introduces Yu Gengyu’s life record and the influence from west thoughts. In the alien ideologies, the modern western philosophy of life led directly to form his strong self-consciousness of life, it affected his poetry writing and the ideas of poetry, and the romanticism impacted that he emphasized to express self emotion. Compared with romanticism, the early symbolism affected Yu Gengyu more deeply, which could be found that Yu Gengyu accepted the depraved thoughts of early symbolism, and recurs to this, Yu explored deeply for the personal internal world of modern Chinese people in his poetry writing. Yu Gengyu’s Poetry of life built by the topic of “Poetry is the art of life”, is the other focus point. In his opinion, poetry is the art of individual or freedom, the art of creation, the lyric art, the art of Poetry for Poetry or Poetry stops at Poetry, and the perfect art. All the opinions were led by the Self-life as a main body. Among of them, the opinion of “A poem is only a poem” had taken an active role in the Chinese pure poetry. Thus the opinion of “Perfect art” showed the dialectical relation between the form and the content of poetry. Focus on selfhood; believed that poetry is the representation of the power of life, Yu Gengyu’s Poetry of Life actually should be one of achievements of the first Modernist Poetry Theory in modern Chinese poetry history. The life song, originated from life experience singed time after time by alone Self, passed through all of Yu Gengyu’s poetry inventions. And his terminal poetries posted embedded the strong life liveliness and decadent consciousness existed in personal internal heart world, showed the monstrous Belial world, developed the new content of modern Chinese poetry, and presented the different art style, and proved that Yu Gengyu contributed more for Chinese Modernism Poetry even Chinese Symbolism Poetry. The above effort and development showed adequately that Yu Gengyu’ played a special role in the history of modern Chinese poetry and its theory. In the side of poetry theory construction, Yu Gengyu is also one of the few poetry theorists who researched on modern Chinese poetry systematically during its early construction period. His Poetry of life is one of the pioneer poetry thoughts in Chinese modernism poetry theory history. And his poetry writing also occupied a very important station in the modern Chinese poetry history especially Chinese modernism poetry history and Chinese Symbolism Poetry history.
