20世纪90年代以来,我国的英语教学出现了低龄化的趋势,许多大中城市的幼儿园纷纷开设了英语课程。近六年来,甚至有相当多的幼儿园打出了“双语幼儿园”的牌子。经调查,幼儿园开展的英语教育活动已经成为目前国内幼儿学习英语的主要途径。总的说来,幼儿园开展英语教育的意义有三点:一是满足家长的迫切愿望;二是体现幼教研究的与时俱进;三是顺应教育改革的需要。作为幼儿教育的专门机构——幼儿园,有条件的幼儿园应责无旁贷地承担起这一任务,积极开展一些相应的实验探索,充分发挥其在幼儿园教育中的示范和主导作用,对幼儿英语教育的方向给予正确的引导。这里的“有条件”,指的是具有较高素质的教师队伍;具有适合儿童身心发展的英语教材及指导用书;具有适合儿童英语学习的环境等等。这里的“探索实验”,应是规范的,以科学研究为目的。本研究通过文献综述法、访谈法、问卷调查法、课堂观察法等方法对幼儿园英语教育及基本师资情况进行了现状调查及分析。其中,于不同时期、不同地区共计分析了约800份家长问卷;访谈了近140多位园长和教师;针对6个不同区域的30所幼儿园,共计60位幼儿园英语教师开展了英语课堂活动观察。调查及研究结果表明,现有的幼儿园英语教师师资队伍水平参差不齐,大多数教师在教师素质、教学过程、教学效果等方面存在诸多问题,英语教学能力远不符合“幼儿英语教师”的专业要求。现有师资的能力水平将直接影响到我国幼儿园英语教育实验的发展,因此,笔者就此问题作了相关深入的研究、分析和讨论,并针对现状提出了参考性建议。本研究同时期望能够引起教育部门和广大幼儿园的关注,重视目前幼儿园英语教师教学能力水平亟待提高的客观现状。期望相关政府部门尽早出台政策、法规控制幼儿园英语教育市场的盲目扩张;尽早制定教师培训及发展计划,引导幼儿园英语教育朝着健康、良性的方向发展。

From 1990s, English teaching in our country tends to begin at an early age and English programs are provided in many kindergartens in large and medium-sized cities. Quite a number of kindergartens claim to be “bilingual” in recent years.It is learned from the investigation that English programs in kindergartens are the main forms of infants’ English learning in our country. In general, English education in kindergartens serves three needs: to meet the eager demands of the parents, to represent the improvement of the infant education research along with the time and to adapt to the needs of educational reform. As specialized institutions for infants education, qualified kindergartens have the duty to conduct relevant experimental exploration and to play a normal and dominant part in as well as provide guide for infants’ English education. By “qualified”, we mean kindergartens with teachers of high quality, with English textbooks and teachers’ books suitable for infants and with suitable environment for infants’ English leaning. By “experimental exploration”, we mean normative experimental exploration with the intention of scientific research.This research investigates and analyzes the status quo of kindergarten English teachers via literature summary, interviews and questionnaires, and also observes the classroom teaching of 60 English teachers in 30 kindergartens in 6districts. The result of the survey and the research indicates that current infants’ English teachers are at quite different levels and the English teaching ability of most teachers cannot meet the requirements for “infants’ English teachers”, most having certain problems in quality, teaching process and teaching effects. As the English teaching ability of kindergarten teachers will directly influence the development of the infants’ English education experiments in our country, the author makes deep relevant analysis and discussion in this field and gives some advice on teachers’ training.At the same time, the research calls for the attention of the educational authorities and kindergartens to be paid to the status quo of kindergarten English teachers. We also hope that relevant government agents will make applicable policies and laws to control the wild expansion of the kindergarten English education market and will make teachers’ training and development plans to guide the healthy development of the kindergarten English education.
