Junichi Watanabe is a famous contemporary Japanese best-selling novelist, in his literary world, there are many "to die for love, to die for beauty" stories, death is one of the most important themes of his novels. Junichi Watanabe wrote "death" in a special way, which makes death become a kind of beauty and produces "death aesthetics" among readers. Taking the "death" in love novels as the entry point, this paper uses the method of reading novel to interpret the beauty of death from two aspects: the form and the significance of death. At the same time, it combines Japanese traditional aesthetics, social culture, and psychological requirements to explain why death makes Japanese readers arouse a sense of aesthetics.
