The public sector in Sierra Leone has been the country's worst working environment following the 11-year civil conflict. To accomplish its goals, the country has established a number of governmental institutions and capacity-building initiatives. The nation's major problems have been the administrative, political, social, and economic changes, some of which come under the control and responsibility of Ministry, Department and Agencies (MDAs), such as the structuring of pay incentives, the hiring and selection of public employees, and capacity building. Competent public employees in Sierra Leone are not motivated by their working conditions, which has had a significant impact on how well public organizations perform. |
