数表征的研究揭示了关于整数符号、非符号整数量和分数符号的表征形式和特点,距离效应说明了对以上各类量值的表征是与物理量有联系的,人们对量的表征与邻近量有重叠,是近似的表征;空间-数字反应编码联合效应(SNARC效应)则意味着量值与空间有所联结,倾向于将小数字表征在左侧空间、大数字表征在右侧空间。SNARC效应揭示了人们的内部量值表征是基于一条假想的心理数字线,它的方向是自左至右的。本研究采用基准数量比较任务,实验材料选用部分不规则的比例图形,考察非符号分数量值的心理表征是否为整体表征,及这种量值是否表征在心理数字线上,具有空间联结的特性。本次实验研究选取了大学生被试,结果发现非符号分数能够作为一个整体表征,出现了距离效应,而且该表征与空间有所联结,出现了SNARC效应,说明非符号分数量值具有空间联结的表征特点,与先前对整数和分数符号的研究结果一致。
外文摘要:
Previous research on the mental representation of the whole number, non-symbolic magnitude and symbolic fraction have revealed its features. The distance effect indicates that mental representation of all forms above is related to the corresponding physical magnitude in that the representation has overlap with its adjacent magnitudes and therefore it is approximate but not accurate as in the physical world. On the other hand, the Spatial-Numerical Association of Response Code effect (the SNARC effect) reflects the association of magnitude and space and the tendency that small numbers are represented on the left side and large numbers the right side. The SNARC effect indicates the nature that we represent magnitudes on a hypothesized mental number line which is oriented from left to right. The current study applies the task of numerical comparison to a fix standard to graphic proportions as the target stimuli, and investigate that whether non-symbolic fractions can be represented as a whole (indexed as the distance effect) and on the mental number line (indicated by the SNARC effect). With undergraduate students as participants, the experiment has positive results that non-symbolic fractions are represented as a whole magnitude and the representation is associated with space. Results of the current research are also consistent with what previous studies have found about magnitude of other forms.
