恩施话属西南官话湖广片鄂中小片，除具有西南官话的一般特征外，还深受民族文化、周边文化的影响，方言独具特色。尤其是其重叠式，数量多，形式多样，能产性和表现力都很强。因此，本研究采用实验语音学的方法，对恩施话的单字调、连读变调、重叠式变调进行了全面的调查，通过建立“单字调、连读调→重叠式词调”的两层三类调类系统，构拟出重叠式在句法-音系层面的互动，从语音层面探讨语素、词汇、短语之间的生成关系。

本文由五章内容构成：

第一章绪论简要介绍了恩施地区复杂的语言情况以及特点鲜明的重叠式结构，从汉语及其方言中的重叠式、恩施话的语音、恩施话的重叠式三个方面对以往的研究进行归纳总结。在此基础上，制定调查方案。

第二章就恩施话单字调、双字调的音高、时长展开实验研究，建构起恩施话的声调格局。首先提取恩施话单字调、双字调的音高和时长数据并进行归一化处理，再结合相关参数分析恩施话的单字调格局、双字调模式及变调特点。研究发现连读变调更多地受到语音环境的制约，基于“相同曲拱制约原则”“邻调制约原则”“复杂度理论”等，可以对恩施话的连读变调模式进行音理分析。声调格局的分析构成了本研究的起点，只有对恩施话的单字调和非重叠式连读变调有基本的认识，才能进一步挖掘重叠式变调的“变”与“不变”。

第三章对恩施话各类重叠式的音高、时长表现进行了描写、分析，寻求变调与词性、结构、语义之间的联系。从变调结果来看，恩施话的重叠式既存在因词类不同而变调不同的同基调异变现象，也存在不同基调的词语类化变调的现象。重叠式变调与连读变调会有部分调式的重合，但整体而言，重叠式变调的变调结果更为模式化，呈现出显著的规律性。不同结构形式的重叠式在时长分布、轻重音格局等方面也存在差异。

第四章引入“词调”的概念，总结出恩施话重叠式词调的4个特点：模式化程度高、首音节统摄、重读音节保调和轻读音节失调。单字调、连读调、词调之间存在着显性的联系，通过变调规则的排序可以对重叠式词调进行合理解释。

第五章为结语。本研究利用实验语音学的技术和方法，对恩施话的声调格局、重叠式变调规律进行描写分析，就单字调、连读调、重叠式词调的关系展开讨论，对于揭示汉语方言句法-音系层面的互动关系有积极意义。

Enshi dialect belongs to the Ezhong, Huguang Section of Southwestern Mandarin. In addition to the general characteristics of Southwestern Mandarin, it is also deeply influenced by ethnic culture and surrounding culture. Particularly, the word reduplication in Enshi dialect is large in number, diverse in form, highly productive and expressive. Therefore, this study adopts the methods of experimental phonetics to conduct a comprehensive investigation on the citation tone, the tone sandhi, and reduplication lexical tone in Enshi dialect. By establishing the framework of them, the reduplication patterns are analyzed with the view of syntactic-phonological interaction, and the generative relationship among morphemes, vocabularies and phrases is discussed from the phonological level.

This paper consists of five chapters.

The first chapter is the introduction, which briefly introduces the complex language situation of Enshi dialect, especially the distinctive word reduplication. It also summarizes the existing research on three aspects: the study of Chinese reduplication, the study of phonology and reduplication in Enshi dialect. On this basis, the investigation plan is formulated.

The second chapter is on the statistics and analyses of the citation tone and the tone sandhi. Thus, the tone patterns of Enshi dialect are constructed. Firstly, extract and normalize the pitch and duration data. Then, combined with relevant parameters, patterns and characteristics of them are analyzed. The result shows that the tone sandhi is more restricted by the phonological environment. Based on the same arch restriction principle(*XYXY), adjacent tone modulation principle (*X.X) and complexity theory, a phonological analysis on the law of tone sandhi is conducted. The study of the tone patterns forms the starting point of the whole research. Only in this way can we further explore the similarities and differences among reduplication tone, the citation tone and the tone sandhi.

The third chapter describes and analyzes the performance of pitch and duration of various reduplication forms in Enshi dialect, seeking the connection between tone shifts and part of speech, intra-word structures and semantics. According to the tone-shifting results, the reduplication tones of Enshi dialect has not only different tone shifts with the same base due to different parts of speech, but the same tone shifts with different forms. The tone sandhi and reduplication lexical tone have some similar modes sometimes. However, the latter presents more fixed forms, shows more regularity. Besides, there are differences in the duration distribution and stress patterns among different reduplication forms.

The fourth chapter introduces the concept of lexical tone. Four characteristics of the republication tone are illustrated: high degree of patternization, initial syllable controlling, the strong tone tends to be preserved and the neutral tone is capable of variation. There are explicit connections among the citation tone, the tone sandhi and reduplication lexical tone, and reduplication lexical tone can be reasonably explained by the ordering of tone-shifting rules.

The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Using the techniques of experimental phonetics, this study provides a detailed description and analysis of tone patterns, reduplication lexical tone in Enshi dialect. Besides, the generative relationship among morphemes, vocabularies and phrases is discussed from the phonological level. Therefore, it has positive significance on revealing the syntactic-phonological interaction of Chinese dialects.
