历史编纂学是史学发展的重要载体，也是历史学科重要的学术增长点，它包括历史理论的运用，史料的掌握和处理，史实的组织和再现，历史评论的阐发等项内容，是史家才、学、识、德的集中体现。以此为视角对中国史学作贯通的考察，能够推进对中国史学演进历程、发展特点和各个历史时期史学成就的认识和总结，全面、深入地了解史家的历史见识、学术视野、价值观念，以及与历史编纂之间的密切联系，深刻体验史学名著的撰述宗旨、永久生命力和鲜明时代特色。本论文即是秉持这样的著述思想，以清初史学为研究对象而作的一次积极尝试。清初史学发展极为活跃，无论是在当代史记载，还是续补、改编旧史方面，均取得了很高的成就，著述极为繁富。在“以史经世”和重视考证的学风熏染下，广大史家不仅勇于执笔修史，为后世保存了大量丰富的历史资料，而且在历史撰述上进行积极反思和勇于创新，既推动了传统史书体裁的改进与革新，还创立了学案体这一新的史书体裁，同时在“新综合体”的探索，历史地理学的撰著，历史编纂理论与方法的总结等方面，均作了积极努力，成绩斐然，对后世历史编纂学的发展产生了深远的影响。本论文将采取个案分析与总体考察相结合的研究思路，对清初历史编纂学的主要成就、发展趋势和理论创获等作系统、全面的考察。一是，集中分析清初的时代背景和史学发展大势，深入了解清初天崩地解的时代剧变，“崇实黜虚”的学术风气的开启，“以史经世”的史学思潮的勃兴，以及清朝“文教是先”的官方文化政策等对史学发展的重要影响，切实把握这一时期历史编纂学面临的新课题（第一章）；二是，以编年、纪传、纪事本末、学案体四大主要史书体裁为线索，选取最具代表性的史著，对清初历史编纂学的主要成就进行集中考察，重在探讨史书的撰述思想和宗旨、编纂体例特点、史料价值、历史见识等，总结清初史家在变革和创新史书体裁、体例方面所作的重要贡献，分析其时代意义和历史影响（第二至六章）；三是站在时代的高度，从理论上对清初历史编纂学的发展趋势和理论创获进行总结，一方面，探讨清初史家在历史编纂方面，如何继承和发扬中国古代史学的优良传统，表现出哪些显著的时代特色？如强烈的反思与批判精神，浓厚的民族思想和历史意识，历史编纂水平的提高和推进等，对后世产生了怎样的历史影响；另一方面，总结清初史家在历史编纂理论与方法上的重要创获，分析他们在史书体裁体例、史家修养、修史方法、历史文学等方面，获得了哪些重要认识，较之前代有何进步？（第七章）通过以上三个主要方面的考察研究，冀求更好地总结、继承和发扬中国古代史学和历史编纂的优良传统和宝贵遗产，如秉笔直书、追求信史，强烈的历史意识和时代责任感，重视史料的采撰和史实的考辨，推动多民族历史记载的长期连续性等，达到为当代史学研究提供有益借鉴、弘扬中华文化的积极目的。

The science of historical compilation is an important carrier of historiography and an impoatant academic growth of historical subject, it contains the use of historical theory, mastery of historical materials and processing, organization and reproduction of historical facts, elucidation of historical comments,and so on.A historian’s talent, knowledge and virtue can be concentratedly expressied through it. Studying the Chinese historiography in the perspective of the science of historical compilation will help promote summarizing its course of evolution, trends and major achievements, deeply understand historians’ historical insights, academic field of vision, values and the close relationship between them and historical compilation, profoundly experience the writing purpose, permanent life and distinctive features of the times of the classic historical writings. The thesis ia exactly a positive attemp to study the historiography of Early Qing Dynasty in this perspective.The historiography of Early Qing Dynasty was very prosperous in development, it achieved a high success both in the aspect of recording contempory history and rearranging previous history. Many historians not only actively engaged in historical writing, preserving abundant historical materials for feture generations, but also promoted the improvement and innovation of historical genres. Besides, they made significant contributions to the pursuiting of “new complex genre”, writing historical geography, summarizing the theory and methords of the science of historical compilation, which had a profound impact on later generations.The thesis will study the major achievements, development trends and theorical gains of the science of historical compilation of Early Qing Dynasty systematically and comprehensively, taking a research idea that combinate case analysis and overall summary. Specifically, the first charpter mainly analyzes the background and historical trends of Early Qing Dynasty, including dramatic changes of the times, academic atmosphere, historical thoughts, official cultural policy and so on, master the new issues the science of historical compilation was confronted with. The chapter II to chapter VI mainly study the major achievements of the science of historical compilation during this period in the clue of main historical genres, including historical writings’ main purpose, characteristics of compilation, value of historical materials and historical insights, analyze the contributions that most historians made to reforming and innovating the historical genres and its significance and historical influence. The last chapter mainly discuss the development trends and theorial gains of the science of historical compilation of this time. The former aspect mainly includes distinct spirit of reflection and criticism, strong national ideology and historical consciousness, improvement of the level of compilation. The latter aspect mainly includes historical genres, historians’ self-cultivation, methords of compilation and historical narrative.Through following studying, we shall have a better understanding of the fine tradition and precious legacy of the ancient historiography of China, such as the spirit of true history, strong historical consciousness and responsibility, paying much attention to the collection and research of historical datas, promoting long-term continuity of historical recording, so as to provide useful lessens for contemporary historical research and promote Chinese culture.
