本文研究的是六十年来中国当代小说中“小公务员形象”演变。六十年的中国当代小说中涌现了很多小公务员形象。以往的研究多集中在单个作家作品，本文将把六十年视为整体，以“小公务员形象”演变为切入点，在文本细读的基础之上，通过阶段性总结与归纳，定位每一阶段的核心形象，进而运用社会历史批评、叙事学等研究方法深入探讨形象背后的时代文化底蕴，包括创作主体态度、社会时代背景变迁及其隐含的对中国社会文化体制的思考。论文重点论述六十年各个阶段的小公务员形象“是什么”，同时辅佐“为什么”会产生这样变迁的文学外部环境分析。

This paper researches on the evolution of small civil servant image of contemporary Chinese novel history. Previous studies concern the individual writers and their works, this paper considers the six decades as a whole. According to the degree of completion of those images’ personality, psychological and spiritual world, we divide this evolution into four stages and summarize the core image of each stage, based on close text reading: small civil servants alienated from system before 80s; humble citizen in 80s; power admirers and the nostalgia in 90s; suffering strivers in 21st century.
