批判性思维因其对个体的成长发展等个人属性和社会属性均起着重要作用, 故为国内外教育界所普遍关注。如何培养个体的批判性思维也一直是备受关注的实践性话题。《全日制普通高中新课程标准(2013)》明确了高中英语教学应着重培养学生几个方面的能力之中就包括用英语获取和处理信息的能力、用英语分析问题和解决问题的能力以及批判性思维能力。因此,为了适应时代发展和新课标的要求,培养学生的批判性思维能力至关重要。为了培养学生的批判性思维能力,应该注重进行批判性阅读教学。这项研究旨在通过进行批判性阅读教学法来提高学生的批判性思维能力。
本研究的理论基础是建构主义学习理论。本研究采用了行动研究的方法,选择乌鲁木齐市某中学高一年级一个理科平行班进行了为期一个学期的定性和定量相结合的研究。研究将回答以下问题:如何在高中英语阅读课中提高学生的批判性思维能力;笔者在为期五个月的研究过程中,以《牛津高中英语》课本作为主要阅读教材,补充和拓展相关资源对比分析。在借鉴批判性思维分析维度的基础上从批判性思维技能(解读、分析、推理、评价、解释、自我监控)着手,挖掘教材中可以进行批判性思维教学的细节,用任务型阅读教学法设置阅读任务,给批判性思维创造动机,巧妙地进行提问设置,捕获课堂中培养批判性思维的契机,营造良好的思辨教学环境,理性地开展多维评价。通过数据分析,得出以下发现:1)上述这些教学行动对高中生的批判性思维能力有着积极的影响,主要表现在批判思维意识的增强和思维习惯的改善;2)能够激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,改善英语学习态度和学习习惯;3)有助于提升学生的英语阅读能力。

Critical Thinking, viewed as a desirable professional attribute and educational outcome, has gained widespread attention both at home and abroad. How to cultivate ones’ critical thinking ability has been a practical topic. New curriculum standard for full-time general high school (2013) explicitly stated the abilities should be formed in high school: the ability of acquiring and disposing knowledge, the ability of analyzing and solving problems and also the critical thinking ability.Therefore, in accordance with the requirement of the era development and NCS, it’s vital to develop students’ critical thinking ability. So as to cultivate students’ critical thinking ability, we should conduct critical reading teaching. This research is aimed at improving students’ critical thinking ability through conducting critical reading teaching methods.
The basis of the study is the Constructive Learning Theory. This study is an action research whose participants are students from Senior 1 in a high school of Urumqi. The aim of the research is to answer the following question: How to enhance students’ critical thinking ability in English reading class?
During the five-month process of action plan, the researcher chose Advance English as the main teaching material, besides, other materials from various sources are also adopted as supplementary reading texts.The researcher meant to train students’ critical thinking ability by the following methods:1) digging the reading materials based on the critical thinking skills; 2) creating tasks to motivate thinking; 3) designing inspirational questions to activate thinking;4)constructing friendly class atmosphere to ensure thinking abilities;5)replacing exams with multidimensional evaluation. Through the analysis of the statistics of survey, interview, pre-tests and post-tests, the researcher found that critical reading teaching does great help to stimulating learning interest and improve students’ reading competence.What is more important is that this teaching experiment can help students develop good thinking habits and in return promote the language study.
