在电影创作中,“黑夜”是一种重要的时间标识,在该时段下的空间形式在电影中具有 十分丰富的含义。在刁亦男的作品中,低调摄影、潮湿混杂的“城镇”空间、表现主义的布光手法不断强调着电影中随处可见的“黑暗”,赋予了“黑夜”独特的空间属性和表现方式,化黑暗场景为隐蔽内心、滋生罪恶的绝佳叙事空间。刁亦男的电影往往通过一系列暴力事件或凶杀案件的呈现,塑造内心空虚的悲剧人物,探讨有关人性本质的叙事主题。因此影片中大量的“黑夜”场景就成为了承载叙事的重要空间。而“黑夜”空间作为一种具有时间属性的空间,在刁亦男的电影中承担着建制悬念、构建人物关系、外化心理世界的叙事功能,因此本次将以电影空间叙事的研究方法结合文化地理学等相关理论从时间角度介入刁亦男的电影创作研究,以刁亦男导演的电影中具有“黑夜”属性的标志性空间作为研究对象,并根据空间的物理性质将其分为开放空间、封闭空间和流动空间,分别探求刁亦男是如何通过赋予空间时间属性来实现空间的叙事功能的。

第一章“建置悬念的开放空间”通过选取刁亦男电影中的夜市、野冰场和车站广场三处典型的黑夜开放空间,并分析了这些空间中环境信息的呈现方式,以及人物行动空间和单位空间的关系,探究了刁亦男是如何通过这些“黑夜”中的开放空间完成悬念建置的;

第二章“塑造人物的封闭空间”通过选取刁亦男电影中的歌舞厅、出租屋、乡村旅店三处典型的黑夜封闭空间,并分析这些封闭空间的构建方式,探究了刁亦男电影如何通过“黑夜”中的封闭空间构建人物关系的;

第三章“外化人物心理世界的流动空间”通过选取刁亦男电影中开放水域上的游船、夜车、摩天轮三处典型的黑夜流动空间,并分析这些流动空间的视觉形象及构成方式,探究了刁亦男是如何通过“黑夜”中流动空间的表意功能将人物的心理世界外化的。

综上所述,在“黑夜”开放空间中,刁亦男通过全景、硬焦点等方式尽可能多的提供环境信息,完成对开放空间的记忆重构,通过观众天然的空间经验制造紧张情绪,并通过单位空间的选择性呈现以及单位空间的组合序列抛出情节中会引起观众好奇的疑问完成悬念的设置;对于“黑夜”中的封闭空间,刁亦男热衷于挑选观众具有深刻的空间记忆的封闭空间,通过单位空间的构图设计,强化观众对这些封闭空间的刻板印象,塑造片中的人物形象和人物关系;而刁亦男电影中的流动空间往往因为被置于黑夜之中或者被赋予黑夜色彩而具有了某种隐喻或象征的能力,其黑夜将流动空间之外的信息隐去,使之成为孤立在黑夜中的意象符号,放大了空间与黑夜本身的在叙事上的表意功能。

In film creation, "Night" is an important time mark, and the spatial form under this time period has very rich meanings in the film. In Diao Yinan's works, low-key photography, humid and mixed "town" space, and expressionist lighting techniques constantly emphasize the "Darkness" that can be seen everywhere in the film, endowing "Night" with unique spatial attributes and expression methods, and transforming the darkness. The scene is an excellent narrative space to hide the heart and breed evil. Diao Yinan's films often present a series of violent incidents or homicide cases, portraying tragic characters with emptiness in their hearts, and exploring narrative themes about the essence of human nature. Therefore, a large number of "Night" scenes in the film have become an important space to carry the narrative. As a space with time attributes, the "Night" space in Diao Yinan's films undertakes the narrative functions of building suspense, constructing character relationships, and externalizing the psychological world. Therefore, this thesis will use the research method of film space narrative combined with cultural geography and other related theories to intervene in the research of Diao Yinan's film creation from the perspective of time. The physical properties divide it into open space, closed space and flowing space, respectively exploring how Diao Yinan endows space with time attributes and narrative functions.

The first chapter"The Role of Open Space in the Building of Suspense"selects three typical dark open spaces in Diao Yinan's films: the night market, the wild ice rink and the station square, and analyzes the presentation of environmental information in these spaces, as well as the characters' action space and the relationship between unit space. This chapter also explores how Diao Yinan completes the suspense building through these open spaces in the "Night";

The second chapter “The Role of Enclosed Space in the Creation of Character ” selects three typical dark-night enclosed spaces in Diao Yinan's films, namely, the song and dance hall, rental house, and country hotel, and analyzes the construction methods of these enclosed spaces, and explores how Diao Yinan's films construct character relationships through the enclosed spaces in the dark “Night”.

The third chapter, "The Role of Flowing Spaces in Externalizing the Characters' PsychologicalWorld", selects three typical dark-night flowing spaces of cruise ships, night trains, and Ferris wheels in Diao Yinan’s movies, analyzes the visual image and composition of these flowing spaces, and explores how Diao Yinan externalizes the character's psychological world through the expressive function of the flowing space in the dark “Night”.

In conclusion, Diao Yinan provided as much environmental information as possible in the open space of "Dark Night" through panoramas, hard focus, etc., completed the memory reconstruction of the open space, and created tension through the audience's natural spatial experience. Through the selective presentation of the unit space and the combination sequence of the unit space, questions that will arouse the audience's curiosity in the plot are used to complete the setting of suspense; As for the closed space in "Dark Night", Diao is keen to select the closed space with profound spatial memory of the audience. Through the composition design of unit space, he strengthens the audience's stereotype of these closed Spaces and shapes the characters' images and relationships in the film; The flowing space in Diao Yinan's films often possesses a certain metaphoric or symbolic ability due to its placement in the night or endowment with the color of the night. The dark night hides the information outside the flowing space, making it an image symbol isolated in the dark night, amplifying the expressive function of space and night itself in narrative.
