《说文解字》是中国最早的字书，收录字词涵盖广泛，其中有许多“空间词”，记录了原始空间模型，并蕴含着中国古代的空间意识。本文通过梳理《说文》收录的空间词，将《说文》记录的中国传统空间形态分为宇宙空间、自然空间和人文空间三个层次，形成由天至人的传统空间模型，并在《说文》语境内，追溯传统空间意识的来源。

《说文》空间词中，宇宙空间包括天地宇宙和天体方位，自然空间包括地形、水流、山水相交之处和山水地名，人文空间包括中国传统建筑与布局，以及城市规划和国家区划。这三层空间呈现出多种中国传统空间意识，如时空一体、山水崇拜、天人合一和尊卑有序等。这些意识来自经学和小学两条路径，经学方面，与《白虎通》总结的汉代经学成果一脉相承；在传统小学方面，则与《尔雅》的类聚和训释等关系密切。

Origin of Chinese Characters is the earliest Chinese character book. It contains a wide range of words, including many "spatial words", which record the original spatial model and contain the spatial consciousness of ancient China. By sorting out the space words, this paper divides the Chinese traditional space into three levels: cosmic space, natural space and humanistic space, forming the traditional space model from heaven to man, and tracing the source of traditional space consciousness.

In Shuo Wen, cosmic space includes the universe and orientation; natural space includes terrain, water flow, the intersection of mountains and rivers, and the place names; humanistic space includes traditional Chinese architecture and its layout, as well as urban planning and national zoning. These space presents spatial consciousness such as the integration of time and space, the worship of landscape, the unity of nature and man, and the order of superiority and inferiority. These consciousness comes from two paths, on the one hand, it is consistent with Bai Hu Tong from the aspect of Confucian classics, on the other hand, it is closely related to the grouping and interpretation of Er Ya from the aspect of traditional primary school.
