课堂指示语是教师课堂话语中的重要部分,是教师在课堂时用来指示学生做或不做某事的言语行为。在课堂上给出清晰简明的指令是教师的重要任务。但是在进行教育实习的过程中,实习教师所使用的课堂指令存在一些问题。通过研究4位英语实习教师的八节英语课和针对高中学生的71份问卷,本研究旨在找出实习教师所使用的课堂指令中存在的问题并给出合适的建议。本研究主要从三个角度研究实习教师所使用的课堂指令中的问题:对学生理解课堂指令的核对,课堂指令的流利度以及课堂指令的句子结构。
在分析课堂转录和问卷数据的基础上,本研究发现了实习英语教师课堂指令中存在的三个主要问题:实习教师在给出课堂指令后没有与学生进行核对,实习教师的课堂指令不流利以及实习教师无法保证课堂指令的简单明确。同时,本研究还发现部分学生在课堂上无法跟随实习教师的指令。而这也正说明了研究实习教师课堂指令中存在的问题的重要性。根据调查结果,本研究还为准英语教师提供了一些建议。

Classroom instructions, as an important part of teacher discourse in class, are speech acts that teachers use to make students do or not do something in class. It is significant for teachers to give clear and concise instructions; however, student teachers have problems in giving efficient classroom instructions when they are conducting their teaching practice. By investigating the transcriptions of 8 English lessons given by 4 student teachers and questionnaire collected from 71 high school students, this study aims to identify the specific problems in the classroom instructions of student teachers of English and offer appropriate suggestions to pre-service English teachers. The study mainly identifies and discusses the problems found in student teachers’ classroom instructions respectively from three aspects: checking understanding after giving instructions, fluency of classroom instructions, and sentence structure of classroom instructions.
Based on the analysis of the class transcriptions and data from questionnaire, three main problems are identified in student teachers’ classroom instructions: student teachers do not always check with students after giving instructions; student teachers have problems with fluent classroom instructions; and student teachers have problems in keeping instruction simple and precise. Also, the study finds that some students are unable to follow student teachers instructions in English class, which signifies the significance of investigating the classroom instructions of student teachers. On basis of what are found, the study comes up with some suggestions for pre-service English teachers.
