教科书是人们为了从事教学活动而设计编制的主观性的精神产品,是人类文化经验与学生个体身心结构之间的媒介和桥梁。教科书必须同时具有两种功能:教学资源功能和教学工具功能。好的教科书要选择合适的概念和事实作为其内容,这对于教学成果有着很大的影响。本研究以国内人教版高中生物教科书和日本东京书籍生物教科书为对象,比较它们概念的广度和深度。结果表明,中国教科书相对于日本教科书来说有着“窄而浅”的特点;同时简析了两版教科书的内容选择与编排特点。本研究的结果可以为国内各版教科书的修订提供参考信息和理论依据。

Textbooks are the spiritual products designed for teachers and students engaged in the teaching activities. They are the media or bridge between the human cultural experience and students’ individual structure of knowledge. Textbooks have two functions: the resources of knowledge and the tools in teaching. A good textbook should be characterized by inclusion of appropriate concepts and knowledge, It has a great influence on teaching achievements. The present study evaluate the Chinese and Japanese High School textbooks of biology. The author compares the breadth and depth of the concepts by analyzing the differences on these two dimensions. The results show that, compared to the Japanese's textbooks, the Chinese ones have feature of "being narrow and shallow" regarding the concept and knowledge included. At the same time, the selection and arrangement of knowledge in the two editions of the Chinese textbook were compared. This study is expected to provide information, references and theoretical basis for the future edition of textbooks in China.
