Objective: This study designed a set of BOSU ball training program for sports dance art examinees exercise prescription intervention, test BOSU ball training for sports dance art examinees balance ability and special project technical level effect, in order to improve sports dance art examinees balance ability to explore scientific and effective training methods and means.

Research methods:(1) This study designed a BOSU ball training program based on the principles of dynamic stability, physical fitness training, sports medicine and other theories, and divided the training part into three modules: dynamic balance ability, static balance ability and core strength training based on the principles of timely recovery and muscle adaptation. (2) 20 sports dance art candidates were selected from 54 students in Shandong Honghu Art School as the experimental group and 20 sports dance art candidates were selected from 36 students in Zibo Art School as the control group. The experimental group received 8 weeks of BOSU ball training intervention, 3 times/week, 30 minutes/time; the control group only carried out routine training without any BOSU ball intervention. Before and after the intervention, the dynamic balance ability (YBT test), static balance ability (standing on one foot with eyes closed, standing on one foot BOSU ball), core strength (sit-ups, prone back-ups, side curls) and special project technical level (fixed-point rotation, self-made action combination, forward walking connected to SPIRL-SPIN-SPIRL) were tested in the two groups. Independent sample t-test was used to compare the inter-group differences of each index before and after the intervention, and paired sample t-test was used to compare the intra-group changes of each index before and after the intervention.

Research findings:(1) Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in static balance ability (standing on one foot with eyes closed, BOSU ball standing on one foot), dynamic balance ability (YBT test), core strength (sit-ups, prone back-ups, side curls) and special project technical level (fixed-point rotation, self-made movement combination, forward walking connected to SPIRL-SPIN-SPIRL), and the baseline was homogeneous (P>0.05). (2) After 8 weeks of BOSU ball training, compared with before the intervention, the static balance ability, dynamic balance ability, core strength and special project technical level of the experimental group of physical dance students were significantly improved (P < 0.01). Among them, the static balance ability: closed eyes standing on one foot, standing on one foot BOSU ball significantly improved (P<0.01); dynamic balance ability: left foot and right foot YBT significantly improved (P<0.01); core strength: sit-ups, prone back-ups, side curls significantly improved (P<0.01); special project technical level: fixed-point rotation, self-made action combination, forward walking connected to SPIRL-SPIN-SPIRL significantly improved (P<0.01), while the control group did not have a significant change in each index (P>0.05). (3) Compared with the control group, the experimental group after the intervention, each index was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). Among them, static balance ability: the BOSU ball performance of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); dynamic balance ability: the left foot YBT test of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); core strength and special project technical level: the experimental group sat up, prone back up and side curl up and special project technical level (fixed point turn, self-made action combination and forward walking connected SPIRL-SPIN-SPIRL) were significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).

Research conclusions: The 8-week BOSU ball training designed by this research institute can effectively improve the physical balance ability of sports dance examinees, improve their sports skills, and provide beneficial support for the improvement of art examinees' competitive ability and competitive performance.
