本文在系统归纳社会性别理论、性别与传播研究的基础之上,对“北大教授性侵”“武汉理工研究生坠亡”和“西安交大博士生溺亡”三起高校师生关系争议事件的微博评论进行了考察,研究发现: 一、当涉事主体为男教师和女学生、男教师和男学生时,网民在讨论过程中多将该事件视为一个社会性问题,并从制度性因素对其进行归因;而当涉事主体为女教师和男学生时,评论者则更倾向于突出其中的“性”元素,先入为主地将其定性为“性骚扰”和“性侵害”事件,批判的焦点也多集中于女教师个人。 二、针对事件中处于同一弱势地位的学生,评论者存在着不同程度的性别刻板印象。一方面,他们倾向于将女学生的脆弱、无助视为“自然而然”的特质并对此报以同情;但另一方面,他们却会责备男学生的脆弱和顺从,主张他们应该顽强反抗。 三、针对同样处于强权一方的教师,评论者的话语策略也有所区别。对男性主体的谴责多围绕着道德品质缺陷展开,辱骂语言多采用泛指和统称,性别色彩模糊。相比之下,对女性主体的批评则着重强调其女性身份,将女性与负面词语关联使用,并把这种侮辱和谩骂扩展至对整个女性群体的贬低。 四、与男性用户相比,女性用户的性别刻板印象要更为严重,并且她们对女性涉事主体的谴责和谩骂更加强烈。
外文摘要:
On the basis of systemically summarizing the social gender theory and research on gender and communication, this paper investigated the Weibo comments on three controversial incidents of teacher-student relationship in universities, including "the professor of Peking University sexually assaulted his student", "the graduate student of Wuhan University of Technology committed suicide" and "the doctoral student of Xi'an Jiaotong University committed suicide ", and found that: Firstly, when the subjects involved are male teacher and female student, or male teacher and male student, netizens tend to regard this event as a social problem in the discussion and attribute it to institutional factors. However, when female teacher and male student are involved, netizens tend to highlight the "sexual" element, prejudging it as "sexual harassment" or "sexual assault", and the criticism focuses mostly on the female teacher. Secondly, netizens have different degrees of gender stereotype against students in the same disadvantaged position. On the one hand, they tend to regard the vulnerability and helplessness of the female student as "natural" traits and feel sympathy for her. On the other hand, they blame the male students for their vulnerability and submissiveness, and insist that they should resist. Thirdly, for teachers who are all on the powerful side, the discourse strategies of netizens are also different. The condemnation of the male subjects centers on the defects of their moral quality, and the abusive language is in general or common term, vague in gender characters. By contrast, the criticism of the female subject focuses on female identity, relates female to negative words, and extends this insult and abuse to devalue the whole female population. Lastly, compared with male netizens, female netizens exhibits more serious gender stereotype, and their condemnation and abuse of female subjects are more intense.
