移动互联网的技术发展改变了用户的沟通方式和信息传播渠道。社交网络更成为建构和维护用户社会关系的重要平台。学界对于社交网络平台与社会资本之间的关系虽已有不少论述,但多聚焦于熟人关系圈层,如基于微信与Facebook而形成的熟人关系网络,而鲜有对弱关系连接方式及其影响的探讨。 中国大学毕业生面临着日益严峻的就业形势,社会资本成为其求职过程中不可或缺的一部分。本研究的基本研究框架是林南的社会资本理论,研究对象为大学生群体,通过半结构化访谈和问卷调查,将目光投向以弱关系为主导逻辑的职业社交平台,尝试围绕大学生用户使用职业社交平台过程中对社会资本的投资、对社会资本的动员以及社会资本产生的回报作出探讨。 本论文的主要研究发现包括:1)职业社交平台使用过程中,大学生用户首先会进行社会资本投资。在这一阶段,大学生用户需要先占领不同社交圈层之间关系传播的节点位置,让节点位置变成连接不同社会资源的桥梁,为大学生用户获取更多资源提供更多机会,除此之外,基于职业社交平台的理想化职业自我呈像有利于大学生用户对于节点位置的占据;2)在社会资本的互动阶段,由于职业社交平台弱关系的引领,大学生用户可以通过异质互动完成自身的社会资本积累,而基于对自身求职身份的认同,他们还可能通过同质互动,提升社会资本的动员;3)最后,在社会资本回报阶段,大学生用户通过职业社交平台的使用可以获得情感性回报和工具性回报。 本研究以大学生群体为关注对象,以职业社交平台为切入点,以社会资本作为理论框架,可以创新社会资本相关研究的媒介分析语境,有助于拓展学界对社交网络场景下,中国青年职场文化变迁的认识与理解,帮助理解当下中国社会资本与职业社会化的基本规律。 |

The development of mobile internet technology changes users’ daily communication method and information channels. And with the advent of the digital society, social networking platforms plays an essential role in users’ social relationship construction and maintenance. Therefore, the academic field has started to explore the relationship between social networking platforms usages and social capital construction while these researches mainly focus on the acquaintance relationship circle, such as WeChat and Facebook. Yet only few studies have dwelled into the social networking platform which focuses on weak ties networking. Chinese college graduates are facing an increasingly severe job-hunting season and social capital itself is an indispensable part of the job search process. This thesis is going to adopt Lin’s social capital theory as theoretical framework to analyze social capital construction in the context of weak-ties-oriented professional social networking platforms through questionnaire and semi-structured interview to see how do these college graduate users to apply professional social networking platform to gain their own social capital and see the weak ties communication in each stage of individual social capital investment, social capital mobilization and social capital return. And the research sample is college graduate users. The finding can be concluded into four points. Firstly, the professional networking platforms play an important role in college graduate users’ daily life while it cannot replace the position of Wechat and Weibo. Secondly, in the stage of social capital investment, users can occupy the node position of the social network by using professional networking platform. It also can become a bridge to connect with more social resources and bring the possibility of gaining social resources. And constructing an ideal digital avatar in the platform is conductive to the occupation of the node position. Then, in the stage of social capital mobilization, users can gain social capital through heterogenous interaction because of the weak-tie operation logic of the profession networking platforms and homogeneous interaction based on the self-identity of job seekers and college graduates. In stage of the social capital return stage, users can gain certain emotional and instrumental returns and the relationship between the two is mutually reinforcing. This research is focusing on college student, applying the social capital theory as the analysis framework and placing social capital into the context of professional social platforms which innovatively bring a brand-new media platform analysis context for social capital. It can help the academic field to expand the understanding of social capital in the context of social networking platforms. Additionally, it can deepen the understanding of Chinese youth’s workplace culture and further to build a basic law of social capital and occupational socialization in China. |
