城市化是人类文明发展的自然历史过程，是推动世界经济发展和社会进步的主要动力。金融是现代经济的核心，在城市化进程中，金融发挥着至关重要的作用。对于正处在城市化加速发展时期的中国而言，不断发挥金融对城市化发展的支持作用是必要的，更是必须的，具有十分深远的影响和意义。 本文立足于城市化发展的角度研究金融支持问题。在对城市化和金融发展相关研究成果回顾和梳理的基础上，对城市化和金融支持的内涵进行了界定，探讨了金融支持城市化发展的理论逻辑和内在机理，阐述了金融支持城市化发展的演进阶段和主要模式，构建了一个金融支持城市化的系统分析框架。 结合分析框架，本文分别从人口城市化、产业城市化、空间城市化三个方面研究了金融对城市化的支持问题，构建了金融支持城市化的指数测度评价体系，对1978-2007年中国的金融支持程度和城市化进程进行了实际测度，根据所得到的测度数据对金融支持和城市化进行了计量分析，结果表明：金融支持和城市化具有高度相关性，金融支持对中国城市化的推动作用非常显著，金融支持水平每提高1个百分点，能促进城市化进程提高0.855个百分点。同时，本文还从制度经济学的角度，对金融支持中国城市化进程中的制度问题进行了分析，研究了金融支持中国城市化进程中的总体战略偏差和关键领域制度约束问题。最后，根据理论研究和实证分析结果，本文提出了金融支持中国城市化进程的政策建议。 本文的创新之处主要在于：构建一个金融支持城市化发展的系统分析框架，对金融支持城市化的机制、阶段、模式等核心问题进行了相对全面的研究；围绕人口城市化、产业城市化、空间城市化三大主线研究了金融支持城市化的内在机理，并结合中国城市化的发展历程提出了推动中国城市化进程的金融支持重点；设计了城市化指数和金融支持指数并构建了的相应的评价指标体系，运用历史数据对城市化与金融支持的相关关系进行了实证研究，测度了中国城市化进程的金融支持度；从中国城市化和金融发展的总体战略偏差和关键领域制度约束的角度，探讨了金融支持中国城市化进程中存在的制度层面因素。

Urbanization, as a natural historical development in human civilization, is the main motivation of progress of economy and society. Finance, as the core of modern economy, plays a vital role in the urbanization process. For this matter, it is essential and necessary for China to make best use of financial support in this rapid-advancing urbanization period. This paper analyzes financial support from the perspective of urbanization. Based on review and systemization of previous concerned research on urbanization and financial support, the paper explains the connotation of urbanization and financial support, and discusses the theoretical logic and the internal mechanism, and demonstrates the main model of financial support in urbanization as well as the process, and finally builds a systematic analysis framework on this issue. With the framework, the paper studies the issue from three aspects—population urbanization, industrialization urbanization and spatial urbanization, and sets up an evaluation index system for quantitative analysis and testing on financial support in China’s urbanization process. The results indicate that the financial support and the China’s urbanization are highly related. The financial support has been the obvious promoting element in the process of China’s urbanization. Every 1 percent of enhancement of the financial support，the process of China’s urbanization will be enhanced by 0.855 percent. At the same time, the paper discusses the influence of institution based on the perspective of institutional economics, and analyzes the concerned problems of deviation of the overall strategy and institution constraints in key areas. In the end, on the ground of theoretical research and empirical results, the paper presents strategies of financial support in China’s urbanization process as well as a series of policy recommendations. The main innovations of this paper are as follows: building a systematic analysis framework of financial support in China’s urbanization process, and doing a relatively comprehensive study on the core problems such as the mechanism, mode and stages; analyzing the mechanism of financial support in urbanization with the three main lines of population urbanization, industrialization urbanization and spatial urbanization, and putting forward the key points of the financial support combined with the development of China’s urbanization process; design of urbanization index and financial support index, and building corresponding evaluation index system; doing empirical research of correlation of urbanization and financial support with historical data, and measuring the financial support degree in China’s urbanization process; discussing the institutional factors in financial support in the process.
