The study measured 233 children in grades three to six one week apart by three times, and the development trend and relationship between interparental conflict and parent-child relationship were examined by establishing the latent variable growth model, and explored the effects of children's age, parenting style, family socioeconomic status, loneliness, and depression. The results showed that: (1) interparental conflict, parent-child relationship and depression were relatively stable within three weeks, and the increasing trend of loneliness was close to obvious. There were significant individual differences in the initial level and rate of development of interparental conflict, loneliness, and depression. Individual differences in the initial level of parent-child relationship were significant. The correlation between the initial level and the rate of development of perceived interparental conflict, parent-child relationship, loneliness, and depression were not significant; (2) parental acceptance and control had significant impacts on the initial level of interparental conflict and parent-child relationship, and parental control significantly affected the development rate of interparental conflict. The more accepting parents were to their children, the lower the initial level of interparental conflict. The more controlling parents had over their children, the higher the initial level of interparental conflict. And the opposite is the effect on the initial level of parent-child relationship. When parents were more in control of their children, the rate of growth of interparental conflict was lower; (3) children's age and family socioeconomic status affected the initial level of parent-child relationship. The older the child, the lower the initial level of parent-child relationship. The higher the socioeconomic status of the family, the higher the initial level of parent-child relationship; (4) loneliness and depression affected interparental conflict and parent-child relationship. At some point in time, the higher the child's loneliness, the higher the level of interparental conflict and the lower the level of parent-child relationship. Depression had a significant effect on interparental conflict in the third measurement, and the more depressed the child, the higher the level of interparental conflict. Depression had a significant effect on parent-child relationship in the first and second measurements, and the more depressed the child, the lower the level of parent-child relationship; (5) The initial level of interparental conflict significantly negatively affected the initial level of parent-child relationship. The development rate of parent-child relationship significantly negatively predicted the development rate of interparental conflict. Children who perceived higher interparental conflict on initial measurement had the lower initial level of parent-child relationship. Children who experienced a faster decline in parent-child relationship had a faster increase in perceived interparental conflict during the three measurements. The results have theoretical and practical implications for family system, parenting and intervention of internalization.
