江山就是人民,人民就是江山,中国共产党无往不胜的根本原因在人民。中国共产党来自人民、植根人民,是全心全意为人民服务的政党,因此拥有来自人民的英勇伟力。新民主主义革命时期,中国共产党实现了由小到大、由弱到强、由局部执政党到全面执政党的历史性转变。这一伟大转变与党在理论探索和革命实践中树立的为民形象密不可分。为民形象在中国共产党形象体系中居于核心地位,开展中国共产党为民形象研究有助于回应时代之问、夯实理论之基、解决实践之需。
“为民”就是以人民为中心,将人民群众的根本利益放在首位。中国共产党为民形象是指为民宗旨理念、为民执政行为以及为民视觉层面的外在彰显,以及外界基于这些外在彰显而判断中国共产党是否为民的一种总体评价和主观印象。结合民主革命斗争实际和共产党具体实践,可以按照“定位—识别—生成—传播—评估”的思路进行研究。形象定位受到外在时空环境和内在政党目标的共同制约;形象识别在于全面展示政党形象的内容要素,系统反映政党形象的具体特征;形象生成是形象建设的关键环节,要通过教育引导、能力建设、制度约束的方式提升政党的知名度和美誉度;形象传播是将政党的良好形象宣传出去;形象评估是基于客观事实和民众对政党的认知来判断形象建设成效。
具体来说,形象定位是中国共产党为民形象建设的前提,影响政党形象建设全过程。新民主主义革命时期,挽救民族危亡的历史任务和突破传统观念的束缚是中国共产党为民形象建设的外部依据,寻求并巩固政治合法性则是其内在依据。理性的环境分析和明确的政治目标,构成政党形象定位的两大依据,也成为中国共产党为民形象建设的首要环节。
形象识别包括理念形象识别、行为形象识别和视觉形象识别三大层次,是从静态角度分析政党形象的内容要素。理念形象是为民形象的精神内核和灵魂,指党的指导思想、根本宗旨和奋斗纲领;行为形象是为民形象的具体化执行,是党在涉及民众政治、经济、文化、社会等根本利益方面的为民表现;视觉形象是为民形象的具象化表达,主要通过画像、影片等可视化符号传达党的为民理念。
形象生成是中国共产党为民形象建设的关键,是从动态角度分析政党形象产生的具体实践。人是组成政党的最基本要素,政党在发展过程中需要依靠一定力量推进自我进化和自我完善,才能表现优异、展示出良好形象。从总体上看,中国共产党为民形象生成的实践基础归属于政党自我革命的范畴,具体包括教育引导、能力建设、制度约束,这三方面各司其职又相互作用。
形象传播影响中国共产党为民形象建设成效,为民形象传播涉及传播主体、传播客体、传播介体、传播方法四个方面。形象传播主体也称形象传播者,包括党的领袖、专业宣传人员以及党外民众;传播客体也称形象传播过程的接受者,传播者应根据受众接受信息的选择性心理,分别运用承诺性话语、叙事性话语、前景性话语来加深受众的注意力、理解力和记忆力;传播介体包括通俗易懂的标语口号、形象生动的文艺作品、内容丰富的书籍报刊;传播方法包括塑造典型人物、把握有利时机以及通过对比凸显党的形象。
形象评估对中国共产党为民形象建设活动具有导向作用。恰当的形象评估能够调整党的形象建设活动,提高形象建设成效。新民主主义革命时期党经历了建党初期与大革命时期、土地革命时期、抗日战争时期和解放战争时期四个历史时期,其为民形象建设成效可分别归纳为理想形象与现实形象并存、真实形象与虚假形象交织、人民救星形象逐步确立、为民形象深入人心四种状态,这是在把握各阶段全局的基础上进行的综合性评估。
新民主主义革命时期中国共产党在自身形象建设方面积累了宝贵的历史经验,一是在方向上始终服务于党的中心工作;二是在内容上注重政党形象与领袖形象的内在统一;三是在队伍上加强党员干部思想教育;四是在危机应对上能够化被动为主动,及时进行形象矫塑。党在新民主主义革命时期的为民形象建设经验具有以下现实借鉴价值:一是提高善治,取得良好的执政绩效;二是完善治党,全面推进党的自我革命;三是把握受众,坚持为人民群众谋利益;四是运用媒介,扩大党的形象传播效果。

This country is its people; the people are the country. The fundamental reason for the CPC's success lies in the people. The Communist Party of China comes from the people and is rooted in the people. It is a party that serves the people wholeheartedly, so it has the courage and strength of the people. During the new Democratic Revolution, the Communist Party of China achieved a historic transformation from small to large, from weak to strong, and from a partial ruling party to an overall ruling party. The monumental shift is inextricably linked to the Party's successful image of serving the people in its theoretical exploration and revolutionary practice. The image of serving the people holds a central position in the image system of the CPC, and conducting research on its development is instrumental in responding to contemporary challenges, consolidating theoretical foundations, and addressing practical needs.
"To Serve the people" means that the people are always at the center and put the fundamental interests of the people first.The image of the Communist Party of China serving the people refers to the external manifestation of the purpose and concept of the Communist Party of China for the people, the governing behavior for the people and the visual perspective for the people, as well as the overall evaluation and subjective impression of the outside world to judge whether the Communist Party of China is for the people based on these external manifestations. As a political organization, the Communist Party of China adheres to the general rules of organization image building for the people. Combined with the reality of the democratic revolution struggle and the specific practice of the Communist Party, it can be studied according to the approach of "positioning -- identification -- generation -- dissemination -- evaluation". The image positioning is constrained by both the external temporal and spatial environment, as well as the internal objectives of the political party. Image identification is to fully display the content elements of the party image and systematically reflect the specific characteristics of the party image. Image generation is the important link in image construction. It is necessary to increase the popularity and reputation of political parties by means of education, capacity building, and institutional constraints. Image dissemination is the promotion of the party's good image. Image evaluation is based on objective facts and people's cognition of political parties to judge the effectiveness of image construction. 
Specifically, image positioning is the premise of Chinese Communist Party's image construction for the people,and affects the whole process of party image construction. During the period of New Democratic Revolution, the historical task of saving the nation from danger and breaking through the shackles of traditional concepts are the external basis for the CPC to build the image of the people,and the internal basis for the CPC to seek and consolidate the political legitimacy. Rational environmental analysis and clear political goals constitute the two main bases for the party's image positioning, also become the primary link of the CPC's image building for the people.
Image identification involves three levels of conceptual, behavioral, and visual image recognition, which are analyzed from a static perspective to understand the essential elements of a political party's image. The conceptual image represents the spiritual essence and soul of the image created for the people, which refers to a party's guiding ideology, fundamental purpose, and agenda. The behavioral image is the concrete implementation of the image for the people, and it is the Party's manifestation of serving the fundamental interests of the people in areas such as politics, economics, culture, and society. The visual image represents the concrete expression of the image created for the people, which is mainly conveyed through visual symbols such as portraits and films to transmit the party's ideology of serving the people.
Image generation is the basic link of the CPC's image construction for the people. It analyzes the specific practice of the party's image generation from a dynamic perspective. Humans constitute the basic building blocks of a political party, and it is only through concerted efforts to promote self-evolution and self-improvement that a party can truly establish itself as a paragon of excellence and project a positive image.In general, the CPC's efforts to build a positive image among the people fall within the realm of the party's own efforts towards self-revolution, including educational guidance, capacity-building, and institutional constraints - all of which play distinct but mutually reinforcing roles.
Image dissemination affects the effectiveness of image construction for the people by the Communist Party of China. The dissemination of images involves four aspects: the disseminator, the disseminated, the dissemination medium, and the dissemination method. The disseminator includes the party leaders, professional communicators, and non-party members. The dissemination object, also known as the recipient of the image dissemination process, refers to those who receive the dissemination. The disseminator should base its approach on the selective psychology of information reception by the audience, respectively utilizing commitments, narratives, and prospect-oriented discourse to deepen the audience's attention, understanding, and memory. The dissemination medium includes easy-to-understand slogans, vivid artistic works, and content-rich books and newspapers. Dissemination methods include shaping typical characters, grasping favorable opportunities, and highlighting the Party's image through comparison.
Image assessment plays an effective guiding role in image construction activities of the Communist Party of China. Proper image assessment can adjust the image building activities to ensure the effectiveness of image building. During the period of the New Democratic Revolution, the CPC experienced four historical periods: the initial period of party building and the period of the Great Revolution, the period of land reform, the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and the period of the War of Liberation. The effectiveness of image building for the people can be classified into four states: ideal and realistic images coexist, real and false images are intertwined, the image of the savior of the people gradually establishes, and the image for the people penetrates into people's hearts. This is a comprehensive evaluation based on grasping the overall situation of each stage.
During the period of new Democratic revolution, the CPC has accumulated valuable historical experience in shaping its own image. Firstly, it consistently serves the central work of the Party in terms of direction; Secondly, it paid attention to the intrinsic unity between the party's image and that of its leadership. Thirdly, it focused on strengthening the ideological education of party members and cadres. Finally, it was able to actively respond to crises, promptly correcting its image. The CPC's experience of shaping a pro-people image during the period of the New Democratic Revolution has valuable practical implications. Firstly, improving governance to achieve good governance performance. Secondly, comprehensively improving the CPC's governance to facilitate self-revolution. Thirdly, grasping the audience and persisting in serving the interests of the people. Fourthly, utilizing the media to expand the party's image dissemination effect.
