随着中国经济的发展,中埃两国在政治、经济、文化、教育等领域的交流和合作不断深化。近年来,埃及的汉语教学呈现供不应求的状态。受益于历来友好发展的中埃关系,埃及汉语教学拥有悠久的历史和良好的社会发展环境,汉办(现已更名“语合中心”)每年也向埃及开设汉语课程的单位派遣数量可观的汉语教师志愿者。赴埃及的汉语教师志愿者在各自的教学岗位上发挥着重要的作用。

汉语教师志愿者是海外中华文化活动的重要参与者和组织者,其海外跨文化适应状况对汉语国际教育事业的发展有着重要的影响。中埃两国地理上相距甚远,文化上差异巨大,加之突如其来的疫情的影响,志愿者们在离家万里的埃及能否适应当地的生活与工作、有无跨文化适应的问题出现以及该如何调适达到跨文化适应都值得关注和研究。

本研究在对跨文化适应相关理论的进行充分研究的基础上,从赴埃及汉语教师志愿者的社会文化适应、工作适应和心理适应三个方面出发,采用文献研究法、描述性统计法、问卷调查法与访谈法等研究方依据调查现状——总结现状——分析原因——提出建议的研究思路对赴埃及汉语教师志愿者的跨文化适应进行调查研究。

根据调查发现,2019-2010年任期内的汉语教师志愿者的总体跨文化适应状况一般。通过对志愿者心理适应的分阶段调查发现赴埃及汉语教师志愿者跨文化适应是一个动态的过程,志愿者们的跨文化适应状况与赴埃及时间密切相关。同时,也发现了疫情对志愿者跨文化适应有深远影响,甚至影响了志愿者们的择业选择和价值观。通过对调查数据的分析,还发现志愿者在埃及的社会文化适应问题大于工作适应问题,社会文化适应上遇到的问题也会对志愿者的工作适应产生影响。通过问卷和访谈调查发现了志愿者们跨文化适应主要影响因素有:志愿者们赴埃及时间、志愿者的英语和阿拉伯语水平、中埃文化差异、志愿者生理健康状况、刻板印象、志愿者在埃及可获得的社会支持、志愿者采取的跨文化适应策略等,这些因素相互作用共同影响着志愿者在埃及的的跨文化适应。

以问题为导向,本文从赴埃及汉语教师志愿者自身、“汉语教师志愿者”管理单位、以及志愿者在埃及的任教单位三个角度对汉语教师志愿者在埃及的跨文化适应提出了相应的建议,并在文章最后对文章的结论与不足之处进行了说明。

With the development of China's economy, the exchanges and cooperation between China and Egypt in the fields of politics, economy, culture, and education have continued to deepen. In recent years, Chinese teaching in Egypt has been in short supply. Benefiting from the friendly development of China-Egyptian relations, Chinese language teaching has a long history and a good social development environment in Egypt. Hanban (now renamed as the "Language Center") also dispatcheda considerable number of Chinese volunteersteachers to organizations that provide Chinese courses in Egypt every year.. Chinese Volunteers teachers play an important role in their respective teaching positions.

Chinese Volunteer teachers are important participants and organizers of overseas Chinese cultural activities, and their overseas cross-cultural adaptation has an important impact on the development of international Chinese language education. China and Egypt are geographically far apart and cultural differences are huge. With the impact of th2019-covid virusepidemic, can the volunteers adapt to the local life and work in Egyptwhether there are problems of cross-cultural adaptation and How to solve these problemsAll of those topics are worth to research

This research is based on a thorough study of the relevant theories of cross-cultural adaptation, starting from the three dimensions of social and cultural adaptation, work adaptation and psychological adaptation of volunteer Chinese teachers in Egypt, using literature research methods, descriptive statistics methods, questionnaire survey methods and interview methods. According to the research idea of "Investigation Status-Summarizing Status-Analyzing Reasons-Making Suggestions" to investigate and study the cross-cultural adaptation of volunteer Chinese teachers in Egypt.

According to the survey, the overall cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese volunteer teachers in Egypt is not so good. Through the psychological adaptation survey, it is found that the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese volunteer teachers inEgypt is a dynamic process, and the status of cross-cultural adaptation is closely related to time. At the same time, it was also discovered that the2019-covid virusepidemic had a profound impact on volunteers' cross-cultural adaptation, and even affected volunteers' career choices and values. The data shows that Chinese volunteers encounter more difficulties in social and cultural adaptation than in work and the problems encountered in social and cultural adaptation will also have an impact on volunteers’ work adaptation. Through the survey results and interviews, it was found that the time in Egypt, the volunteers’ language ability, the cultural differences between China and Egypt, Volunteers' physical healthStereotypesthe available social support, and the cross-cultural adaptation strategies adopted by the volunteers all affect the volunteers’ cross-cultural experience in Egypt.

In order to provide some references for Chinese volunteer teachers who will go to Egypt in the future, this article alsoputs forward some specific recommendationsfrom three perspectives: Chinese volunteersthemselves, " Chinese Volunteer Teacher" managementinstitution, and Chinese teaching institutions in Egypt. At the end of the article we also summarized the conclusions and deficiencies of this study.
