同其他类型的新闻一样,经济类新闻通常分为标题、导语和内容主体。在这三部分中,标题用语更加随意、更加灵活、更富文采和更加通俗,旨在迅速吸引读者眼球、传递最精简信息,其关键作用不言而喻。因此,创造性叛逆为何也可以应用于经济金融类新闻的标题翻译中,以及需要应用哪些策略便是本文研究的主要内容。
本文以《经济学人·商论》为研究对象,主要利用文献查阅法、文本对比分析其中的标题。作者发现,创造性叛逆理论在经济金融类新闻的标题英汉翻译中体现为三种形式:积极形式、消极形式以及中和形式。这三种形式将以分析典型案例的方式呈现,案例包括双关语的翻译、头韵和半谐音的翻译、俚俗语的翻译等。
作者首先介绍了创造性叛逆的概念以及近年来变化中的经济类新闻标题的特点,然后对搜集的新闻标题进行分析,论证创造性叛逆同样适用于经济类新闻标题的翻译,以及应用策略。最后,作者还会针对该论文的结论和不足,为该领域的相关研究提供些许参考。

The “creative treason” was put forward by Robert Escarpit in 1987, a translation theory that has long been discussed in the translation of literature works. However, recent decades have seen the literary writing style penetrating practical writings, typically hard news writing; that is to say, it is likely that creative treason can be applicable in the case of the translation of news report writing.
Like any other type of news, economic news is generally divided into three parts: headline, leading part and body part. Among them, headline plays a vital role in instantly catching people’s eyes and delivering the most condensed idea of the article. Today, the designing of the economic news headlines has seen an evident trend of becoming less formal and rigid and more literary or popularized in wording. All factors above considered, this thesis is going to reveal why creative treason can be available in the translation of financial and economic news headlines, and in what situations or in what ways it can be employed.
This thesis mainly takes The Economist· Global Business Commentary as the subject of study, and employs the methods of library research and textual comparative analysis. Then this thesis first proves that creative treason is applicable in the translation of hard news. Based on this conclusion, it goes deeper and reveals that creative treason is adopted in E-C translation of financial and economic news headlines in the active form, the negative form and the neutral form. The three forms include typical examples of the translation of puns, alliteration and assonance, idioms and so forth.
This thesis first introduces the concept of creative treason and the altered features of the economic news headlines, then analyzes the collected headlines to prove that creative treason is applicable in the translation of the latter, and then explains how. Finally, it gives some suggestions for further study on this field.
