王雪樵是一位中国近代书法家，出生于清朝光绪二十年（1894年），卒于民国二十八年（1939年）。王雪樵是陕西省榆林市神木县人，《陕西省志?文化艺术志》、《榆林地区志》和《神木县志》中都有关于他的记载。他的一生跌宕起伏，求学、入仕的道路上多有坎坷。抗日战争爆发之后，他前往内蒙古札萨克抗日政府工作。因身染风寒，46岁便离开了人世。 王雪樵的书法风格受清代到民国时期碑学兴盛的大潮影响，他潜心钻研秦汉六朝碑碣二十余年，对篆书、隶书、楷书、行书、草书五种书体皆有自己独到的理解。他将汉魏风骨融入了篆、隶、楷、行、草各种书体，形成了具有个人特点的“隶中有魏，魏中有隶”的风格。 王雪樵的书法和其作品反映出清末到民国那个时代的书法创作整体风格与趋势，和当时的社会环境息息相关。他将汉魏笔法与篆书、行草书等相融合，通过几十年临池不辍的勤奋练习，将方笔圆笔相结合的笔法运用纯熟，形成具有自身特点的风格，并通过书法作品反映出他的内心世界与精神追求。

Wang Xueqiao is a calligrapher of Modern China of 20th century. He was born in Shenmu County, Yulin City of Shaanxi Province, in the year of 1984. He died in 1939. The Record of Culture and Art of Shaanxi Province, the Official Record of Yulin Region and the Official Record of Shenmu County all have records about him. He lived a hard life since there were many difficulties in his process of study and official career. After the Anti-Japanese War broke out, he went to work for the Zhasake government in Inner Mongolia. He caught a bad cold and died at the age of 46. The art style of Wang Xueqiao’s calligraphy is distinctive. With the influence of the popularity of epigraphy from 19th century to 20 century, he studied the epigraphs of Qin, Han and other dynasties in ancient times for twenty years. He had his own comprehension of the style of the seal characters, official script, regular script, running script and cursive script. As he added the art style of tablet inscriptions of the Northern Dynasties into other scripts, he created his own style of “mixing the official script and regular script of Wei Dynasty”. Wang’s calligraphy and his work reflected the style and trend of the time from late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. They are connected to the society and historical environment of that time. He mixed the brush pen craft of Han and Wei Dynasties with seal character and running cursive scripts. Due to his unstoppable hard work of decades, he is sophisticated with that kind of brush pen craft. His works reflect his inner world and spiritual pursuit.
