《魔戒》是“幻想文学之父”J.R.R.托尔金创作的幻想文学巨著，囊括了幻想文学在成长主题方面的诸多因素，本文试从梳理幻想文学的特点、概括其成长书写入手，将幻想文学理论分析和《魔戒》文本对成长主题的演绎之分析相结合，总结《魔界》中的成长主题，并在此基础上概括出幻想文学成长主题多元性、象征性、导向性的特点；评估成长书写对于幻想文学的建构的意义，指出成长主题在幻想文学中还原了其广泛性和深刻性，成长书写承载着幻想文学作家的审美理想和精神盼望。

The Lord of the Rings, which covers sufficient aspects of initiation theme was a great fantasy work created by J.R.R.Tolkien, who was praised as the Father of Fantasy. By integrating the theoretical analysis of fantasy and text analysis on its initiation theme in The Lord of the Rings, This paper tries to start with straightening the characteristic of fantasy and then summarize its writing function on initiation theme. In the last part of the paper, I reaches the conclusion that the initiation themes in fantasy share the characteristic of multiplicity, symbolism and function of direction, and that the initiation theme in fantasy bears aesthetic ideal and psychic wishes of the writers.
