       有着英国“国教”地位的基督教随着百余年的港英殖民统治在香港得到了显著发展,教会根据社会需求进行了各式本土化发展的尝试,为基督教与香港电影的遇合提供了机会。在此环境中成长的吴宇森将电影与宗教视为两大精神支柱,基督教文化对其创作风格的形成产生了不可忽视的影响。本文从香港电影与基督教文化的关联切入,结合吴宇森的成长经历介绍研究的背景与原因,分析其对作品主题与人物设计的影响。随后,选取“暴力美学”中的基督教元素作为主体深入分析,探究宗教元素在吴宇森作品中的独特运用,并结合导演个人经历、偏好和社会因素等方面分析形成该特点的内在原因。最终总结及其为影片带来的深刻影响,并从中提取共性,挖掘基督教元素在香港电影中的标志性作用。

外文摘要:

       Christianity, which is very important in Britain, has developed significantly in Hong Kong after more than 100 years of British colonial rule. The church has made various attempts to localized development according to the social needs, providing opportunities for the integration of Christianity and Hong Kong films. John Woo, who grew up in this environment, regarded film and religion as two spiritual pillars, so Christian culture made a significant impact on the formation of his directing style.

       This paper starts from the encounter between Hong Kong film and Christian culture, introduces the background and reasons of the research combined with John Woo's growth experience, and analyzes its influence upon the motif and character design of the films. Then, the author selected the Christian elements in "violence aesthetics" as the main body for in-depth analysis, explored the unique use of the religious elements in John Woo's works, and analyzed the internal reasons for this characteristic by referring to the director's personal experience, preference and social factors. Finally, it summarizes its profound influence on the film, extracts the common role from it, and excavates the symbolic role of Christian elements in Hong Kong films.
