Hexi has been an area of multi-ethnic communication since ancient times. With the Yuan Dynasty occupying Hexi, a large number of Mongolian and somaciun entered. At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty, a considerable part of these people were submitted to the Ming Dynasty; and then many northern Mongolian also submitted to Ming dynasty. The submitted people had an important influence on the Ming Dynasty, and it was of great significance to the formation of several minorities in later generations. This article takes the Liangzhou and Zhuanglang two guard towns as research centers, and mainly studies the following aspects : The first part discusses the situation of submission during the period of Hongwu and Yongle. The period of Hongwu was mainly the submit of the officers and soldiers of the Yuan Dynasty, and their submission was related to the establishment of the guard towns. During the Yongle period, several major northern Mongolian nomadic tribes belonged to the Ming Dynasty. Among them, the largest and most representative of the Batumi group was located in the guards of Liangzhou and Zhuanglang. The second part analyzes the Ming Dynasty's resettlement measures of Liangzhou and Zhuanglang. During the Hongwu period, there was a large number of submitted people were armed with military guards, even if the office is awarded, the position is low. In the Yongle period, the rehousing treatment was significantly improved, but it was “enjoying the salary but not serving the people”. This can reflect the attitude of the Ming dynasty who escorted them but not trust. The third part discusses the obligations of the submitted people to the Ming Dynasty from tribute and expedition, and discusses the Liangzhou rebellion that took place in Yongle eight years to ten years. Through tribute and expedition, the dependency of the returnees to the Ming Dynasty gradually deepened. During the Yongle period, due to various reasons, the insurgents were rebelled. Through counter-insurgency, the Ming Dynasty removed the infidels and the adherents who stood on the side of the Ming Dynasty were further integrated into the Ming Dynasty. The fourth part discusses the development and evolution of the social life and the cultural customs of the submitted people in Hexi area. Due to the unique natural environment, Hexi area not only farmed but also bred. However, on the whole, the land is not fertile enough, and the borderlands are still slightly lopsided, especially the lives of the lower class are relatively poor. In terms of cultural development, Buddhism, Taoism, and Islam are all common beliefs. At the same time, they are constantly learning about Chinese culture and customs, such as studying Confucian culture. For the study of the submitted people of Liangzhou and Zhuang Lang, the first two chapters focus on their submission and resettlement. The latter two chapters focus on their development and integration in Ming society. From the perspective of the Ming dynasty, through the appropriate resettlement policies, the submitted people were used by Ming Dynasty; from the perspective of the submitted people, they subjectively move closer to the Ming society. The submitted people gradually deepened their sense of identity with the Ming Dynasty and merged into the Ming society.
