与当代选本出版之勃兴形成鲜明对比，我国当前的选本研究仍有许多薄弱之处，尤其对新时期以降的外国文学选本缺乏关注——不仅规模性、系统性的专题研究构筑未竟，而且鲜见锐翰、辩证的批评眼光。因此本研究拟以“改革开放”以来出版的通史类外国文学选本为棱镜，关照当代中国外国文学研究的嬗变脉络。本研究首先在书目整理与统计的基础上呈现近四十年来选本出版格局的概貌，并援引周煦良编《外国文作品选》与聂珍钊、苏晖编《外国文学作品选》为详例具象化这种变迁的内在逻辑；而后通过入选作家作品的改易综观新时期以降的经典换代大势，籍由《钢铁是怎样炼成的》的去经典化、阿赫玛托娃与艾特玛托夫经典化的时差和《变形记》的先行经典化考察经典转移问题的复杂性；最后从世界文学角度切入这些选本，浅入选家观念更革背后所隐含的时代诉求，并以张景华编《外国文学》与方华文编《世界文学经典》为典例展望近年来选家为更新世界文学格局所做的尝试。

In contrast to the boom of contemporary anthologies, the domestic studies upon them are currently fragmented, especially lacking attention upon foreign literature anthologies published since the New Period—neither do there exist specific researches dedicated to the topic, nor does there stand much acute critique. This research aims at the general foreign literature anthologies published after ‘Reform and Opening-up’ and treats them as lenses for overviewing the transitions that happened in domestic modern foreign literature studies. First, this research presents an outline of anthological publication since ‘Reform and Opening-up’ based on assortment and statistics, and takes ‘Anthology of Foreign Literature’ edited by Zhou Xuliang and ‘Anthology of Foreign Literature’ edited by Nie Zhenzhao and Suhui as examples to visualize the intrinsic logic of this transformation; then the research overviews the general trend of classic regeneration since the New Period, embodying the complexity of this progress through the de-canonization of ‘How the Steel Was Tempered’, the time difference between the canonization of Akhmatova and of Ajtmatov, and the advanced canonization of ‘The Metamorphosis’. Additionally this research approaches these anthologies through the view of World Literature and analyzes the epochal demand behind the different ideas, introducing the endeavor made by the anthologists to reconstruct the layout of World Literature presenting Zhang Jinghua’s ‘Foreign Literature’ and Fang Huawen’s ‘World Literature Classics’.
