我国古代货币历史上，元代纸币最早作为唯一法币畅行全国，带领中国古代纸币发展 走向高潮。元代纸币起源于宋金纸币，但其印行技术、流通范围、流传时间远比宋金纸币 更为长久。元政府为集中政权统治，确立严密的政治制度，大规模印制纸币，制定周密管 理制度，强令疆域内全面使用，保证纯纸币流通，开启纯纸币不限期限、无论地域、全面 流通的先河。元代纸币作为政府指定权威印刷品，雕版印刷术、活字印刷术、双色套印技 术等在其印制过程中均有体现。同时在它大规模传入欧亚多国的过程中，其印刷技术也以 国际交流的方式迅速扩散，潜移默化地启发了其他国家的印刷实践。 然而，前人研究元代纸币多集中于制币事件、纸币制度、货币思想等，鲜有学者和专 家从出版史角度聚焦元代纸币研究。鉴于此，本研究结合历史文献记载、现存元中统宝钞 实物，通过分析探讨元纸币印刷技艺，元代纸币印行与欧洲印刷物与印刷活动的关系，站 在印刷术和出版史角度，探讨元代纸币在印刷术传播过程中的突出表现，从四个不同角度 来阐述元代纸币及其印制在中国印刷术外传过程中的重要历史作用。 第一章，探究纸币在元辽阔疆域内长期大规模流通使用的社会背景，元政府强势的政 权体系为纸币流通 供信用保障。其中主要分析了元政府大规模印制纸币的政局环境、经 济状况和其他客观必要因素，根据文献、现存实物分析了元朝纸币印制的阶段特征、元代 纸币的形制特征、元政府为纸币发行制定的政策特征等。 第二章从纸币作为印刷品角度，域内域外不同民族有机会接触印刷物。依据元史文献 和外国学者著作中，域内汗国之间的纸币交流与来元外国人的纸币使用情况，域外其他国 家如亚洲、欧洲纸币传播使用情况。 第三章从纸币及其印制过程的技术角度，依据印刷技术史文献材料和其他汗国文献记 录，分析元代纸币印版改为金属印版，印制过程中体现活字印刷术，采用套色技术并改进 制墨技术以及部分中亚地区制币实践。 第四章从中纸币及其印制启发思想角度，依据文献记载、前人研究、整理了纸币及其 印制知识在欧洲多著名文献中的体现。元朝时期欧洲人直接与中国人密切接触，纸币是介 入双方之间联系的主要官方媒介。15 世纪前后，欧洲社会中开始使用雕版印刷术进行印刷 活动，并不断印制多种印刷物，探索元朝纸币交流与欧洲印刷活动出现之间的因果关系， 试图分析古腾堡印刷技术与元代纸币印制中的相似性。

In view of this, this study combines historical documents and existing Yuan Zhongbao banknotes to analyze the relationship between the printing techniques of Yuan banknotes, the printing of Yuan Dynasty banknotes and European printing and printing activities, and explores the Yuan Dynasty from the perspective of printing and publishing history.
