随着各种新材料、新技术和新媒体进入艺术领域,媒介研究也逐渐成为艺术理论和艺术批评中的重要问题。但从目前的研究状况看,研究者大多将艺术媒介等同于传播媒介,运用传播学中的媒介理论,缺少艺术的专指性和对其一般规律的探索。本文将艺术媒介作为艺术学理论中的一个基本范畴,提出一个新的学科形态——艺术媒介学,从理论基础、研究范式、学科地位等方面对这一学科进行系统建构,以完善艺术学理论学科下的二级学科体系。首先,从传播学、哲学、科学、艺术学等学科角度梳理艺术媒介研究的理论基础,受这些学科的影响,当前的艺术媒介研究在基本概念、研究视野和研究方法上既存在分歧,又相互联系。以此为基础,艺术媒介学的研究范式可分为艺术媒介理论、艺术媒介史和艺术媒介批评三种。艺术媒介理论研究倾向于对艺术一般规律的探讨,艺术媒介史研究从历史进程角度探讨媒介变迁对艺术的影响作用,艺术媒介批评研究则倾向于从媒介视角对具体艺术门类或艺术作品进行个案研究。本文以艺术媒介理论研究部分作为重点,在学理上对艺术媒介进行更加清楚的界定,根据艺术媒介在艺术系统各个环节承担的功能和在不同艺术门类中的形态,将艺术媒介分为材料型媒介、工具型媒介、载体型媒介、符号型媒介四种基本类型,分析媒介与世界、艺术家、艺术作品及艺术接受者之间的关系,探讨艺术媒介在艺术系统中的重要作用。最后将艺术媒介放到当代艺术的产生和发展语境中分析新媒介的具体内涵及其在艺术变革中所起到的具体作用。

    文章强调艺术媒介应成为艺术理论中的一个基本范畴,对艺术媒介的研究应从本体出发展开横向和纵向的分析,结合变化着的实际情况探讨艺术媒介在艺术系统和艺术发展中的作用。从艺术基础理论角度对艺术媒介进行系统研究,不仅是对艺术理论的补充和完善,也是为各种艺术变革和创新提供理论支持。

With all kinds of new materials, new technologies and new media entering the field of art, media research has gradually become an important issue in art theory and art criticism. However, from the current research status, most researchers equate art media with communication media, and lack of artistic specificity and exploration of its general laws by using medium theory in communication.This paper takes art medium as a basic category of art theory, and proposes a new disciplinary form -- art media science. It systematically constructs this discipline from the aspects of theoretical basis, research paradigm and subject status, so as to perfect the secondary discipline system under the theoretical discipline of art.First of all, the theoretical basis of art medium studies is summarized from the perspectives of communication, philosophy, science, art and other disciplines. Influenced by these disciplines, the current art medium studies are not only different but also interrelated in terms of basic concepts, research horizons and research methods.On this basis, the research paradigm of art medium can be divided into three types: art medium theory, art medium history and art medium criticism.The theoretical study of art medium tends to discuss the general laws of art, the historical study of art medium studies the influence of medium changes on art from the perspective of historical process, and the study of art medium criticism tends to conduct case studies on specific art categories or works from the perspective of medium.In this paper, according to the theory of artistic medium research part, as the key on the theory of artistic medium more clearly defined according to each link of art medium in art system function and morphology in different art categories, artistic medium can be divided into material type medium, tool type medium, the medium of carrier medium, symbol four basic types, Analyze the relationship between medium and the world, artists, works of art and art recipients, and explore the important role of artistic medium in the art system.Finally, the author puts the artistic mediuminto the context of the generation and development of contemporary art to analyze the specific connotation of new mediumand its specific role in the artistic reform.

   The paper emphasizes that the medium of art should be a basic category in the theory of art, the study on the medium of art should be carried out by the horizontal and vertical analysis based on the ontology, the role of the medium of art in art system and art development should be explored by combing with the changing reality. This paper studies the medium of art systematically from the perspective of basic theory of art, which not only complements and perfects the development of art theory, but also provides the theoretical support for various art reformation and innovations.

 秦兴华,女,北京师范大学哲学学院美学博士后、助理研究员,中国艺术研究院艺术学博士,现主持中国博士后基金项目1项,参与国家社科基金艺术学重大项目2项、一般项目1项,参与编写《20世纪中国艺术理论主题史》《中国艺术读本》《艺术学核心素养》等著作3部,在《现代传播》《北京电影学院学报》《北大艺术评论》《艺术评论》等期刊发表学术论文10余篇。
