动物利用警戒行为规避环境中存在的风险,提高自身和后代的生存几率,以增加个体的适合度。影响警戒行为的因素多样,其中被捕食风险的强度是一种重要的外部因素。动物可被不同的天敌捕食。因此不同天敌所带来的威胁不同,动物的警戒行为会随之产生差异。警戒行为可以在同一物种或不同物种的个体间进行传递。喜鹊(Pica Pica)是伴人鸟类,出现在城市和乡村,常与人类饲养的家鸡(Gallus gallus domesticus)共同觅食。喜鹊所面临多样性的捕食风险,通过实验模拟不同的捕食情境来观察喜鹊的警戒行为。用焦点取样法收集数据,利用多因素方差分析检验不同条件下喜鹊警戒强度的变化。实验结果表明:1)喜鹊与家鸡间不存在明显的协调警戒行为,即家鸡存在与否不会对喜鹊警戒行为产生影响;2)喜鹊的警戒行为会随着天敌种类不同而产生差异,对狐狸(模型)的出现表现出最强的警戒投入。

Animals use vigilance behavior to avoid the risks in the environment and improve their chances of survival rate and increase their fitness. There are many factors that can affect vigilance behavior, among which predation risk is a crucial external factor. The threat posed by different predators is different, and the vigilance behavior of animals may vary accompanying with the different kinds of predator. Vigilance behavior can be transmitted and received as a signal within the same species or between different species. Magpies (Pica Pica) often appear in cities and villages and feed with other birds, such as domestic chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus). The predation risks of magpies are varied. The vigilance behaviors of magpies were observed through experimental simulation of different kinds of predator. The data were collected by focus sampling method and analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance . The experimental results showed that: 1) There was no obvious coordinated vigilance behavior between magpies and domestic chickens, which means that whether or not domestic chickens existing would not affect the vigilance behavior of magpies; 2) The vigilance behavior of magpies varied with the kinds of predator, showing high value of vigilance behavior toward foxes (model).
