本文聚焦于莎士比亚戏剧《哈姆莱特》的汉译,通过阅读五个代表性汉译本、举例分例每位译者对原剧中基本修辞格的翻译、调查读者对各译本的接受程度等方法,探讨翻译莎士比亚戏剧修辞格的较佳方案。本文主要研究朱生豪先生译本中失传比例较高的四种修辞格,即明喻、隐喻、双关和拟人。这四种修辞格也是莎士比亚戏剧中最常出现的基本修辞格,承载着作者所表达的信息核心。本文的目的在于归纳五个汉译本修辞格翻译的特点,找出翻译质量较好的译本。另外,笔者建议译者翻译时需要参考现有译本中较佳的翻译策略。选词需要既符合汉语的语言规律,又能尽量保留原著的艺术性,向读者准确地传达原文的含义。

The focus of this research is on the field of translation, more exactly, the Chinese translation of rhetorical devices in Hamlet. In order to find better ways to translate the rhetorical devices, five translation versions of Hamlet in Chinese are chosen to analyze by reading the translation texts, giving examples and collecting data. Smile, metaphor, pun and personification are four basic rhetorical devices which are frequently applied in Shakespearean plays but always deleted in Zhu Shenghao’s translation versions. The four kinds of rhetorical devices bear the main information that the author wants to express. This research is to conclude the characteristics of the language in the five Chinese versions, and to find out the better ones. Moreover, the researcher suggests that translators should refer to the better versions and try to employ more accurate words and phrases to show readers the main information and keep the artistic quality of the original plays.
