《洛阳伽蓝记》内涵广博，形成了融地学之真、史学之善和文学之美于一体的独特文学形式，呈现出多种文体特点。本文旨在从文化传统和当时的历史语境中考察其独特文体的形成因素，涉及创作者的主体意识，时代风尚，重要的文化现象等多方面的内容。 书中记载了大量北魏历史，在这背后驱动的是作者杨衒之自觉的史家意识。它以平面铺陈的叙述方式描述洛阳城的地理布局，并藉此建构文本空间结构，与《山海经》颇为相似，也同《山海经》一样喜欢记录奇珍草木、插述历史。内容兼收并蓄、热衷景物描写的特点与晋宋地志的写作惯例一致。在具体描绘洛阳城的寺庙、园林、集市、民俗时，常袭用同样表现京都繁华的汉大赋的词句，对汉大赋的内容和铺陈手法也多有借鉴。写景文字整饬典丽，与汉大赋描写山林苑囿的文字风格相近。汉大赋常流露出的返祖复始观念，区域间争衡的情节在杨衒之笔下亦有所响应，他掩盖北魏定都洛阳之前的历史，强调北魏与汉晋的传承关系，树立了北魏华夏正统的地位。书中萦绕着谈神说怪的气息，记录了很多志怪故事，大略可分为“传神怪”、“明因果”两类，前者对早期志怪书多有继承，同时沾染了时代风气,后者呈现出比较明显的佛教色彩。

Yang Xuan-zhi’s A Record of Buddhist Monasteries in Luo-yang has various and complicated stylistic features. As the author kept strong interest in history, in the book there are lots of cases in North Wei History. Similar to The Classic of Mountains and Rivers, the book has built spatial structure of the text on planar narrative description of elaborate geographical distribution of Luo-yang, also, it records Rare plants and inserted history. In accordance with the Geographies of Wei and Jin Dynasty writing practice, the book has a rich content, and places emphasis on Scene Description. When it depicts the temples, garden architecture, bazaars, folklore in Luo-yang, the words are really close to those in the poets of Han Dynasty which describe the prosperity of the capital cities. It also draws on the content and elaborate techniques of the poets of Han Dynasty. The author described Scenes using the technique of rhyme prose by poets of Han Dynasty, and developed a literary style of his own that was elegant and refined. Yang Xuan-zhi also followed Han Dynasty's ideas of Back in history and unity, in order to show the status of North Wei. He intentionally neglected the history of North Wei before capitaling in Luo-yang, in order to emphasize the relationship of Han, Jin dynasty and North Wei and indicate the orthodox position of North Wei. There is a surreal atmosphere in the book, which records a lot of ghost stories .The stories can be divided into two categories. One category mainly inherit the characteristics of The book Notes on mystery stores of Wei and Jin, while stories in the other one are obviously influenced by Buddhism.
