改革开放以来,我国凭借着加工贸易积极融入世界,参与国际分工,确立起劳动密集型为主导的加工制造业,但随着近年来人口红利的减退、劳动力成本上升,我国在国际中的贸易地位也在发生变化。在当前背景下,必须面对一个迫切的现实问题:如何提升制造业出口的技术水平,从而摆脱过度依赖低价竞争的不利局面,并突破全球价值链中的低端定位状态。为了推动中国制造业由大变强,实现高质量发展,必须寻找新的动力源泉。在这方面,以数字化知识和信息技术为核心的数字经济,正日益展现出其巨大的潜力。因此,我们应当充分利用数字经济的优势,推动制造业的技术创新和产品升级,以实现我国制造业在全球市场中的竞争优势。综上,我们有必要厘清目前数字经济在推动我国制造业出口产品质量提升方面的作用机制,以此促进我国制造业外贸发展。
本研究基于2013—2022年中国30个省份和地区(港澳台和西藏除外)的数据样本,探讨数字经济如何影响中国制造业出口技术复杂度,在中介机制、数字经济发展水平指数测度以及异质性检验上实现了创新。研究思路如下:第一,在第二章中深入梳理文献,在此基础上在第三章假设数字经济会通过人力资本和技术创新路径对我国制造业出口技术复杂度产生影响;第二,在第四章采用熵值法,构建包含数字基础设施、数字技术应用、数字制造服务业和数字技术创新这四个指标的数字经济发展水平指数,并采用了Hausmann等学者的计算方式以实现对我国制造业出口技术复杂度的测度,并对上述测度结果加以分析;第三,在第五章采用固定效应模型,研究两者之间的影响关系。经过实证分析,数字经济对我国各省份制造业产品出口技术复杂度确实存在显著影响;第四,为进一步分析核心变量对被解释变量的这种影响,针对实证结果,进行了区域和人力资本异质性检验。检验表明,影响显著存在着地域性和人力资本差异性。具体来说,数字经济对中西部地区的影响比东部地区更为显著;同时,在人力资本水平较低的环境中,其支持作用更为明显。第五,为了确保研究成果的准确性,采用主成分分析法重新测度数字经济发展水平指数,进行稳健性检验。
研究表明,数字经济在促进制造业向高品质方向发展上扮演了关键角色。根据以上的研究结论,首先需要增加对数字基础设施的建设投资,以优化数字经济的发展环境;其次,需要增加研究资金和提供更多的优惠政策,以提高技术创新和盈利能力。

Since the beginning of the 20th century, China, with its large population, rich natural resources and ability to imitate advanced technologies, has been actively involved in the international division of labor by creating international competitiveness focused on labor-intensive industries and dramatically developing foreign trade in a short period of time. However, in the context of new trends in global industrial patterns, China's manufacturing environment is confronted with a range of issues, notably the erosion of the country's traditional resource base, increasing business expenses and a failure to innovate sufficiently in terms of technology.In recent years, China's aging problem has become more apparent, further weakening the dominance of the demographic dividend.In the current situation, we need to face the urgent practical question of how to improve the technological level of industrial exports in order to overcome the disadvantage resulting from over-reliance on low-cost competition and to get rid of the low-price nexus in the global value chain. In order to develop China's manufacturing industry from a large to a strong industry and achieve high-quality development, we need to find a new source of energy. In this context, the digital economy, with digital knowledge and information technology at its core, has increasing potential. Therefore, it is necessary to take full advantage of the digital economy to promote technological innovation and product modernization in the manufacturing industry, and to gain the competitive advantage of China's manufacturing industry in the global market. At the same time, with the development and growth of new economic situation, companies are transforming from traditional to modern models of value creation. These innovative models will significantly increase the supply of added value and core capabilities of the shipping manufacturing industry. In summary, we need to clarify the current digital economy in promoting China's manufacturing export product quality enhancement of the role of the mechanism, in order to promote the development of manufacturing foreign trade.
 After an in-depth theoretical discussion,we have summarised the logic of the domestic impact of the digital industry on the technical sophistication of Chinese output and hence exports. We showed that the digital economy can affect the high-tech level of production and exports through three mechanisms: human resources, technological innovation and spatial spillovers. This study then uses the entropy method to construct a local digital economy score based on four aspects: digital infrastructure, digital technology application, digital manufacturing and digital services, and digital technology innovation. Finally, we develop a panel econometric model based on cross-country panel data and use benchmark regression methods to empirically investigate the effects of the global digital ecosystem on the sophistication of high-tech manufacturing exports.Through empirical analysis, we understand that the digital economy has a significant impact on the maturity of export technology in different provinces of China. Moreover, by examining regional and human capital heterogeneousness, the authors find that the effects of the net industry on the technological sophistication of manufacturing exports vary significantly across regions. More specifically, the impact of the digital economy on the Midwest is stronger than in the East, and its supportive effects are stronger in environments with less human capital.To ensure the accuracy of the survey results, we re-evaluated the evolution of the digital economy by analyzing key components and tested its stability through tail contraction. According to studies, the digital economy plays an important role in promoting the development of production towards high quality. Based on the above findings, the following policy recommendations are put forward: it is necessary to increase investments in the construction of digital infrastructures in order to optimize the development environment of the digital economy. Secondly, it is necessary to increase research expenditure and to adopt more favourable measures to improve innovation and profitability.
