美国当代艺术家乔丹·沃尔夫森从2001年开始活跃在当代艺术界，他热衷于CGI动画、全息投影、虚拟现实、面部识别等技术，不断探索新的技术形态并创作了大量新媒体艺术作品。但同时他在作品中对于“身份”概念具有暧昧性的表达备受争议。
本文主要梳理了乔丹·沃尔夫森创作生涯的四个时期，并结合艺术家的代表作品从三大技术维度分别对其以动画艺术为主的数字影像艺术、综合材料互动装置艺术和虚拟现实艺术作品的美学表达进行分析。在此基础上，结合当代艺术史上相关联的艺术家及其艺术作品，用批判性视角对美国多元文化背景下以“表演性”为特征的沃尔夫森作品中的文化身份表达加以分析。本文对文化身份问题的研究与作品分析将形成互文关系，便于更加全面深入地理解乔丹·沃尔夫森作品中的文化表达。

American contemporary artist Jordan Wolfson has been active in the contemporary art scene since 2001. He is passionate about CGI animation, holographic projection, virtual reality, facial recognition and other technologies, exploring new forms of technology and creating a large number of new media artworks. However, his ambiguous expression of the concept of "identity" in his works has been controversial.
This paper focuses on four periods in Jordan Wolfson's career, and analyses the aesthetic expressions of his digital video art, mainly animation art, interactive installation art with mixed media and virtual reality artworks in the context of the artist's representative works from three technological dimensions. On this basis, the expression of cultural identity in Wolfson's works, which are characterised by "performativity" in the context of American multiculturalism, is critically analysed in relation to the artists and their works in contemporary art history. The study of cultural identity and the analysis of the work will form an intertextual relationship that will facilitate a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the cultural expressions in Jordan Wolfson's work.
