外尔半金属是近些年来新兴起的拓扑材料,随着万贤刚等的预言[1],在铱氧化物的能带里面存在着外尔点后,许许多多的外尔半金属被预言并得到实验上的证实,伴随着研究的进一步深入,除了典型的Ⅰ型外尔半金属外,Ⅱ型外尔半金属也被预言和发现,第二类外尔半金属的主要量子性质是打破了洛伦兹不变性,具有不同于第一类外尔半金属的特殊性质,如:动量空间的克莱因隧穿、磁场选择性的手性反常及固有的反常霍尔效应等。本文介绍了一种典型第二类外尔半金属TaIrTe4,并且使用扫描隧道显微镜从原子尺度对其处理后的表面进行表征,对其进行微分电导谱图分析,为后续实验积累数据。

Wyel semimetal has become a new topological material in recent years, with the predictions of Wan xiangang et al , after the existence of the Wyel points in the band of iridium oxide, many Wyel semimetals have been predicted and confirmed . With further research, in addition to the typical type-Ⅰ Weyl semimetal, type-Ⅱ Weyl semimetal were predicted and discovered. The quantum properties of the type-Ⅱ Weyl semimetal are breaking the lorentz invariance, which is different from the type-Ⅰ Weyl semimetal, the special properties of the type-Ⅱ Weyl semimetal, such as: the momentum space klein tunneling abnormal magnetic field of chiral selectivity and the anomalous hall effect inherent. In this paper, we introduce a typical type-Ⅱ Weyl semimetal—TaIrTe4, and the treated surface was characterized from the atomic scale, using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), and its differential conductance spectrum was analyzed to accumulate data for subsequent experiments.
