嫦娥神话故事通过对两性关系的思考为现当代文学的创作提供了书写欲望和主体性建构的可能，而开放性的文本又为丰富神话故事重述的细节提供了机会。本文主要从欲望和主体性的关系出发，考察中国现当代嫦娥神话故事重述中的欲望和主体性的特质以及表达方式，并梳理现当代嫦娥重述中欲望和主体性之间的联系。现代文学中嫦娥神话故事重述总体上在启蒙和救亡的主题之下，将神话与作家本人的精神状态、现代女性的生存问题，和国家前途命运联系在一起。而在当代文学中，在后现代主义理论和商品经济的冲击下，“嫦娥”和“后羿”们在物欲、权欲和情欲的权力框架下将身体异化为主体，面临着身份认同的危机。总而言之，现代文学的嫦娥重述具有启蒙自反性的特征，而当代文学企图通过私人化的欲望重新建构人的主体，但同时也面临着主体弥散的风险。
