在英语课堂教学中,广大教师和研究者一直在探索各种有效的教学方法来提高学习者的语法能力和语言运用能力,培养语言兴趣以及自主学习意识。Ruth Wajnryb (1988,1989,1990) 认为整体听写活动(语法听写)能够在英语语法的课堂学习中提供给教师和学生一种综合性的语法学习方法。本研究以Ruth Wajnryb提出的整体听写活动的观点为前提,通过实验来探索整体听写活动(语法听写)教学法对于语法学习和语言学习的积极作用。由此本研究提出以下问题:(1)同PPP教学法相比较,整体听写活动教学法是否能够在语法课堂教学实践中更加有效地增加学生的语法知识?(2)同PPP教学法相比较,整体听写活动教学法是否能够在语法课堂教学实践中更积极有效地促进语言学习?通过对学生的测试以及问卷调查、课堂观察日志和访谈得到以下结果:(1)同PPP教学法相比较,整体听写活动教学法能够在语法课堂教学实践中更加有效地增加学生的语法知识。(2)同PPP教学法相比较,整体听写活动教学法能够在语法课堂教学实践中能更积极有效地促进语言学习和语言应用。同时,整体听写活动在语法课堂的运用能够促进学生积极参与课堂活动。最后,本文还阐明了进一步的研究方向和意义,并且提出了一些建议。

In English classroom instruction,researchers and teachers have been attempting to seek efficient and integrative approaches to make English grammar learning effortless and autonomous. According to Wajnryb (1988,1989,1990), dictogloss (grammar dictation) approach offers teachers and learners an integrative method for classroom grammar teaching and learning, promoting learners’ language competence. The present study aims to explore the efficiency of dictogloss approach through an experiment with Senior One students in China.Therefore, the following questions are proposed:(1) Can dictogloss approach in classroom grammar instruction increase learners’ grammatical knowledge more effectively than PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production)? (2) Can dictogloss approach in classroom grammar instruction enhance students’ language proficiency more effectively than PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production)? Through the examinations, questionnaires, classroom observation log and interviews, the findings are shown below:(1) Dictogloss approach in classroom grammar instruction can increase students’ grammar knowledge more effectively than PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production). (2) Dictogloss approach in classroom grammar instruction can enhance students’ language proficiency more effectively than PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production). The results also find that dictogloss approach in classroom grammar instruction plays an important role in promoting the students’ participation in the classroom activities.Finally, this work offers some implication and suggestions for future research.
