发展工程教育、培养高素质的工程技术人才是现代国家提升竞争力的有效手段。作为新世纪工程教育改革的一项创新举措,CDIO模式对促进工程人才培养质量具有重要意义。美国是该模式的发源地和创始者之一,研究CDIO在美国形成的过程、理念及应用情况,对认识我国工程教育的改革动向具有一定的启发意义。论文由导论、正文和结语三部分构成,导论部分对核心概念作了界定,梳理了相关文献,并对本研究的基本框架和研究方法作出了说明。结语部分总结了CDIO模式的特点以及实施CDIO模式需要处理的几个关系,并提出了可能为中国提供的经验。论文的正文由三部分构成,基本内容如下:第一部分探讨了美国工程教育CDIO模式的产生及其背景。首先简要描述了美国工程教育的历史演进阶段,然后在分析该模式在美国产生的社会背景与理论背景的基础上揭示出它的教育理念。第二部分对CDIO模式的基本架构进行了梳理。主要体现为:基于四种核心能力的能力培养目标,基于一体化课程的课程模式和基于设计—实施项目的教学模式。第三部分以麻省理工学院航空航天系为例,分析了CDIO模式的具体实施方法。从培养目标的制定,到培养方案的设计,从实践场所的创设,再到评估方式的改善,总之从人才培养的整体考虑出发,全方位提升工程教育的质量。研究认为CDIO工程教育模式在提高学生的实践能力、团队合作意识以及创新能力等方面效果显著,并且可以广泛应用于不同国家和地区。在新的时代背景下,该模式还面临着来自技术和工程教育自身的巨大挑战。

In order to enhance modern countries’s competitiveness, developing engineering education and cultivating the high-quality talents in engineering technology has become an effective approach. As an innovative measure to promote engineering education in the new century, CDIO attaches important significance in promoting high-quality talent of Engineering. The United States is the birthplace of the model and one of the founders of International CDIO Organizaion. So it will have a certain enlightening significance while researching the process of forming, concepts and applications of CDIO. This thesis is composed of three parts. The first part is introduction, containing the defination of core concepts, the related literatures, the basic framework and research methods of this study. The final part is conclusion, in which summarizes the characteristics of CDIO, and several relationships need to dealt with when put it into effect. It puts forward the possible suggestions for China. There are three parts in the main body. Its basic contents are as follows:The first section explores the origination and bachground of CDIO. It briefly describes the history of engineering education in the US, analyzes the social backgrounds and theoretical basis of CDIO, and finally reveals its educational ideas. The second section mainly deals with the basic frameworks of CDIO, such as four core abilities, Integrated Engineering Curricula, and Design-Implement Projects.The third section takes the case of MIT Aero-Astro to analyze the specific operation method of CDIO. It illustrates the draft of the cultivation goals, requirements and training programs,the design of practice places and the improvement of accessment. All in all, from the point of view of cultivating mode, it calls for an overall improvement of engineering education.It is considered that CDIO has an effective impact in students’ hand-on ability, team-work consciousness and innovative ability. It can be widely applied in different countries and regions. In the new era, CDIO is also facing a great challenge from technology and engineering education itself.
