物质成瘾对于跨期决策有重要影响,但是鲜有研究关注短视频成瘾对于消 费者跨期决策的影响。本研究认为,短视频成瘾会对消费者的时间感知产生影响,进而影响其跨期决策偏好。本研究设计了两个实验对该假设进行了检验。实验 1 检验了短视频成瘾情况对时间感知的影响;实验 2 考察了短视频成瘾对跨期决策偏好的影响,并对时间感知的中介作用进行了检验。结果发现:对于等待相同的时间,相比短视频成瘾程度低的消费者,短视频成瘾程度高的消费者感觉到等待时间更长。因此,跨期决策中,短视频成瘾程度高(vs. 低)的消费者更偏好等待时间更短(vs.长)但是价值更小(vs.大)的奖励。本研究揭示了短视频成瘾对跨期决策的影响及其作用机制,为短视频成瘾和跨期决策相关研究提供了启发式视角。 |

Several studies have investigated the impact of traditional addiction behavior on intertemporal choice, but few studies have paid attention to the influence of short video addiction, which is increasingly common today. I think short video addiction will have an influence on consumers’ time perception and then further impact their intertemporal choice. Two experiments were designed to test this hypothesis. Experiment 1 examined the influence of short video addiction on time perception, and Experiment 2 examined the influence of short video addiction on intertemporal choice and the mediation role of time perception. The results showed that for the same period, consumers with high short video addiction perceived it longer. Thus, when involved in intertemporal decision making, consumers with high (vs. low) short video addiction prefer rewards with shorter waiting times (vs. longer) but smaller value (vs. larger). This study revealed the influence of short video addiction on intertemporal decision and its underlying mechanism, and as a result, adds to our understanding of short video addiction and intertemporal choice. |
