磁星是中子星的一种,具有极高的磁场。观测上磁星主要表现为反常X射线脉冲星和软伽玛射线重复暴。通过磁场能的释放,它们能够产生以X射线及软伽玛射线为主的持续辐射。磁星偶尔会进入暴发活跃期,产生剧烈的软伽玛射线暴发,同时可能伴随着持续辐射流量显著增加(持续辐射爆发)。磁星具有强磁场和强引力场,是宇宙中独特的研究极端条件物理规律的实验室。但是,目前已知的磁星数量极少,与磁星复杂多样的性质相比,其可研究的样本显得非常之小。钱德拉X射线天文台观测到大量X射线源,其中包括目前已知的磁星与磁星候选体,也很有可能包括未知的磁星候选体。本论文将从位置判据、硬度比判据及多能段计数判据三个方面出发,对磁星在钱德拉卫星观测中持续辐射能谱性质进行归纳,并利用这个特点在未认证的X射线源表中找到潜在的磁星候选体346个。

Magnetar is a type of neutron star with powerful magnetic field. The decay of the strong magnetic field powers the emission of high-energy radiation, particularly in X and gamma rays. This hypothesis is widely accepted as the explanation of anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs) and soft gamma repeaters (SGRs). Short and intense bursts have been shown to be a key property of magnetar emission, which normally accompanied by an outburst in their persistent emission. Strong magnetic and gravitational field makes magnetars unique laboratories to probe current physics under extreme conditions. However, the number of currently known magnetars is too small to fully understand the variety of their properties. Chandra X-ray Observatory provides abundant X-ray observations with high spacial resolution, and uncovered a large number of X-ray sources, which may include some unidentified magnetar candidates. In this paper, we summarize the spectral properties of persistent emission of known magnetars using Chandra observations and search for possible magnetars in the Chandra X-ray source catalog based on these properties. Finally, we found 346 possible magnetar candidates.
