“儿化”的具体使用情况因人因词而异，不同的人使用儿化词的数量不等；新北京人单纯读儿化词时有别于儿化词在句中表达时的发音情况。本文将从社会语言学角度，考查儿化词的变化，关注儿化词在不同环境下的发音情况，将单纯读儿化词时的发音情况和儿化词在句中表达时的发音情况作为重点调查内容，将“儿化”作为词语和句子成分时的不同发音情况进行比较和分析，有助于提高人们对儿化词的关注度，为分析儿化词的发展规律和制订规范的儿化词原则提供一个量化的数据依据。研究的主要对象是北京人，调查内容为普通话和北京话中的典型儿化词，将不同地区、不同性别、不同年龄、不同职业、不同生活环境、不同教育程度的人使用儿化词的情况进行比较，可以更有效地帮助方言区人们分辨儿化词，提高对儿化词的敏感度，发准儿化音，使他们在表达时能有节奏感，正确使用儿化词，能准确地表达词语的词汇意义、语法意义和修辞意义。本着随机性和定量分析的原则，对被调查人的不同情况进行分类调查统计。以社会语言学的基础知识为依托，运用调查法、描写法、比较分析法对“儿化”的变化进行分析、研究，通过存在差异的比较分析，将不同材料之间的差异进行细致分析，从中发现一些有价值的规律。

The application of retroflexfinal varies between different people and different words, i.e. different people may use it in different number of words, and a new Beijing resident will pronounce a single word with retroflexfinal change differently from his pronunciation of the word in uttering a sentence. The paper will survey the changes of the non-syllabic “r” in different linguistic contexts from a sociolinguistic perspective by placing emphasis on the comparison and analysis on the pronunciation of a word with a retroflexfinal uttered individually and that uttered in a sentence. It will aid to raise the awareness of those words with retroflexfinals and provide a quantitative tool for the analysis of developmental rules of the linguistic phenomenon and the preparation of a standard principle of pronunciation. The study takes typical words with retroflexfinal in Putonghua and Beijing dialect by Beijing residents as research objects and makes a comparison between people from different regions, of different genders, at different ages, from different occupations, in different living environments and with different educational backgrounds. Such a research may help people in the specific dialectal zone differentiate words with retroflexfinal changes and raise their sensitiveness with those words to pronounce the phone correctly in a more effective way, so that they can use the words with the variation correctly in rhythm to express the semantic, grammatical and rhetoric meanings accurately. Guided by the principle of randomicity and quantitative analysis and the fundamental sociolinguistic theories, the study will hold a statistical survey according to the differences of research objects and make an analysis about the varieties of retroflexfinal by way of investigation, description and comparative analysis. Through the comparative analysis over certain differences between different corpus, some valuable rules may be discovered.
