金属纳米结构的局域表面等离激元共振能显示出独特的光散射特性,而银纳米棒作为基本结构,其光学性质的研究尤为重要。本文通过对银纳米线的超声切割制得纳米棒,将其分布在带有光刻标记的载玻片上,分别利用原子力显微镜测量纳米棒的形貌及暗场显微镜测量其散射光谱特性。通过实验发现,在偏振光方向垂直于长轴方向时,均有一个在430-440nm左右的本征横向共振峰,而在平行于长轴方向时,则会出现多个纵向共振峰,对于不同长度的纳米棒,我们根据与仿真模拟的比较来确定其模式。此外,还对比不同入射方向对散射光谱的研究,得到如下初步结论:在正入射时仅能激发出奇数模,而在斜入射时奇数、偶数模均能激发。
外文摘要:
Metallic nanostructures show unique optical scattering properties because of their localized surface plasmonic resonances. Silver nanorods as basic elements, their optical properties are of great importance. In this article, we cut nanowires into nanorods using an ultrasonic method, and then distributed these nanorods in a glass slide which had been marked by photolithographic patterns. Their morphological and scattering properties are measured by an Atomic Force Microscope and a dark field microscope, respectively. According to experimental results, we found out that there is an intrinsic transverse mode at about 430-440nm when polarization of incident light is perpendicular to the nanorod's long axis. Also, there are multiple longitudinal modes when polarization of incident light is parallel to the nanorod's long axis. The specific modes were determined based on FTDT simulations. Besides, we compared scattering spectra of different incident directions, drawing primary conclusions as follows: the near-normal incidence approach is only able to excite odd modes, while the off-normal incidence approach enables to excite both odd and even modes.
