The transition makes the offspring of workers in traditional state-owned enterprises live in a rapidly developing and continuously changing society, and their original stable and fixed adult transition mode is broken. They are undergoing a reconfiguration of self-orientation and social orientation, agency and structure. This paper takes the offspring of a representative state-owned enterprise employee as the research object.Based on the perspective of adult transformation, centering on the dual shaping effect of collective memory and current reality on the offspring of workers, this paper analyzes from the dimensions of education, employment, and marriage, so as to explain their adult transformation path of "identity reconstruction - struggling to meet the standards". It is found that the identity of workers' offspring has undergone a transition from avoiding to accepting the identity of workers' offspring, which is a potential change implicit in their behavioral logic. In terms of education, employment, marriage and other practical dimensions, they struggle to meet the standards of society. Based on the investigation of the workers' offspring, it is proposed that collective memory shapes the turbulent adult transition of the workers' offspring. They cling to limited capital and have both adaptation and compromise, as well as reflection and resistance in the cruel youth with strong sense of presence.
