本文以近代艺术大师李叔同的音乐成就为中心,对其音乐创作风格与音乐教学理念展开探讨,同时加入了对其生平事迹与在启蒙运动中的贡献的一些分析。文章主体分三个部分: 第一部分,李叔同的学堂乐歌创作成就。论述了学堂乐歌的产生背景及李叔同在此种音乐形式的创作方面所具备的个人创作特点,以及其创作的音乐对我国后世音乐发展的影响。 第二部分,李叔同在音乐教学中秉承的理念。论述了李叔同在从事音乐教学工作中所秉承的教学理念,包括:其对音乐的社会功能、音乐教学的地位观、音乐教学实践中所贯彻的法则及以德育人的治学态度。 第三部分,李叔同的音乐在现代启蒙运动中的贡献。论述了李叔同学堂乐歌的创作出发点、李叔同的词曲创作的不同形式、主编音乐刊物的贡献以及其皈依后的人生境界。

This thesis is centered upon the great achievement in music of Dr. Li, Shutong, the master of art in contemporary China. Analysis covers discussion of his style of music composition, insights into musical education, as well as his contribution to the Enlightenment Movement in China. There are three parts in the thesis: I. Dr. Li’s Achievement in Campus Music Composition In this part, the author delineates the background for the advent of Campus Music in China and how Dr. Li’s personal characters were integrated and reflected in its composition. In the meantime, it also discusses the influence of Dr. Li’s artistic creativity on the development of music industry in China from then on. II. Educational Concepts and Theory beheld by Dr. Li Three points are highlighted here, which had been attached to great importance by Dr. Li as well: a. Function of music in people’s social life; b. The importance of musical education; c. Rules and ethical responsibilities people shall hold when practicing musical education. III. Contributing role of Dr. Li and his works in China’s Enlightenment Movement: This part of the thesis mainly discusses the reason why Dr. Li embarked upon campus music composition, varied styles of his music and lyric composition, and the his role in popularizing music among general public via magazines or other forms of mass media.Finally, there is also one section covering the state his spiritual perfection after converting to Buddhism.
