在中国共产党的百年出版实践中,延安时期是一个非常重要的历史阶段。这一时期,中国共产党领导开创了在极为艰苦、资源极端匮乏的环境中发展出版事业的成功范例,缔造了新民主主义革命时期红色出版事业的高峰。本研究采用史论结合的基本逻辑,结合出版史、阅读史、文化史等相关理论,辅之以量化历史、文本分析等研究方法。绪论部分主要介绍选题缘由及意义、研究综述、研究思路及论文所涉及的核心概念。

第一章,梳理了延安时期红色出版得以蓬勃发展的历史条件。红色出版的实践基础包括艰难求存的建党初期,逐渐积蓄力量的土地革命时期以及革命斗争最困难的延安时期。优秀的传统文化、五四新文化、马克思主义文化成为延安时期红色出版的思想渊薮。红色出版之所以在延安焕发出更大的能量还离不开中国共产党强烈的现实需求。中国共产党必须以红色出版作为思想教育的工具,用之开民心、聚民智,为团结陕甘宁边区以及广大农村革命根据地的群众发挥思想启蒙的功用。

第二章是从出版载体、出版符号、出版技术、出版发行、出版管理、出版人物等六个维度对延安时期红色出版的整体风貌进行全景式梳理。关注出版载体,依据的是广义的出版概念,除了纸质出版物以外的,以墙壁、木板等为媒介载体的出版活动纳入了本研究。出版符号层面,从文字符号和图像符号的双重传播来审视红色出版的内容呈现方式。在出版技术层面,考察了印刷技术和造纸技术在这一时期出版工作中的应用,呈现出新旧技术相融的特点。在出版发行方面,在广大革命根据地先是建立了发行点,再由网点连成网络,从各地的发行部建设到印刷厂建设,红色出版的发行事业在延安时期取得了重大突破。出版管理方面,本研究对党领导的出版管理机构进行了历史考察,梳理了这一时期出版管理机构的交替过程。在出版人方面,以出版生活史视域的角度,对延安出版人的日常生活和从业生活进行全景呈现,力图展现更加完整、真实的红色出版风貌。

第三章分析了延安时期红色出版在政治、文化和经济上的基本特征。延安时期的红色出版具有鲜明的意识形态导向性。在文化特征上,文化属性是出版的核心属性,而出版与阅读密不可分,阅读也是一种普遍的文化现象。从阅读史的视角研究出版史可以发现,延安时期的红色出版是以人民为中心的阅读。经济特质表现为,初现商品属性的党报广告。虽然党报的商业属性并不突出,更多地是服务政治大局,注重的是社会效益。但当将此阶段放置于中国共产党百年出版史的大维度内时,延安时期中共中央对出版商业属性的认识已然在萌起。

第四章,对政策文本进行高频词分析以及编码,为研究中国共产党出版理论和出版管理制度提供了一定的依据。同时,本研究分析梳理了马克思、恩格斯、列宁、毛泽东和中国共产党其他领导人对出版问题的观点。在此基础上,本文进一步对延安时期马克思主义出版观的形成做了初步分析,其核心要义主要表现为党的出版物必须要坚持党性原则、人民性原则、出版物具有宣传教育的功能、保障出版自由的权利以及注重语言风格的编辑方针。在出版管理制度上,中国共产党也初步形成了党管出版的领导体制以及党管出版的工作,逐渐形成了更为统一集中的出版管理体制,呈现出较为清晰明朗的自上而下的集中指导制度和自下而上的请示报告制度的共工作机制。

第五章,总结延安时期红色出版的历史价值与对当代出版业发展的启示意义。其历史价值表现为,为建构革命话语体系提供载体支持、为马克思主义中国化提供思想阵地,为形成延安出版精神提供实践基础。对于当代出版业发展的启示表现为,要始终坚持中国共产党对出版事业的全面领导,坚持马克思主义理论对出版事业的思想引领。始终坚持以人民为中心的出版导向。要始终坚持发扬延安出版精神的优良传统。

The Yan'an period is a very important historical stage in the century-long publishing practice of the Chinese Communist Party. During this period, the Chinese Communist Party leadership created a successful example of developing the publishing business in an extremely difficult and resource-poor environment, and created the peak of the red publishing business during the New Democratic Revolution. This study adopts the basic logic of combining history and theory, combining theories related to the history of publishing, the history of reading, and the history of culture, supplemented by research methods such as quantitative history and textual analysis. The introductory section introduces the origin and significance of the selected topic, the research overview, the research ideas and the core concepts involved in the thesis.

In the first chapter, the historical conditions under which red publishing flourished during the Yan'an period are sorted out. The practical foundations of red publishing include the early period of the founding of the Party when it was difficult to survive, the period of the Agrarian Revolution when strength was gradually built up, and the Yan'an period when the revolutionary struggle was most difficult. The excellent traditional culture, the new May Fourth culture and the Marxist culture became the ideological fountains of red publishing in the Yan'an period. The reason why red publishing has become more energetic in Yan'an is also inseparable from the strong practical needs of the CPC. The CPC had to use red publishing as a tool for ideological education, to open the hearts of the people, to gather their wisdom, and to play an enlightening role in uniting the masses in the Shaanxi-Gan'an-Ning border area and the vast rural revolutionary base areas.

Chapter 2 provides a panoramic view of the overall style of red publishing in the Yan'an period from six dimensions: publishing carriers, publishing symbols, publishing technology, publishing distribution, publishing management, and publishing personalities. The focus on publishing carriers is based on a broad concept of publishing, and publishing activities other than paper publications, with walls and boards as media carriers, are included in this study. At the level of publishing symbols, the content presentation of red publishing is examined in terms of the dual communication of textual and pictorial symbols. At the level of publishing technology, the application of printing and paper technology in publishing during this period is examined, showing a blend of old and new technologies. In terms of publishing and distribution, distribution points were first established in the vast revolutionary base areas, and then the outlets were connected into a network, and from the construction of distribution departments to printing plants in various places, the distribution business of red publishing made a major breakthrough in the Yan'an period. In terms of publishing management, this study takes a historical look at the Party-led publishing management agencies and sorts out the alternating process of publishing management agencies during this period. In terms of publishers, the study presents a panoramic view of the daily lives and practices of publishers in Yan'an from the perspective of the history of publishing life, in an attempt to present a more complete and realistic picture of red publishing.

Chapter 3 analyzes the political, cultural and economic characteristics of red publishing in the Yan'an period. Red publishing during the Yan'an period had a distinct ideological orientation. In terms of cultural characteristics, cultural attributes are the core attributes of publishing, while publishing is inseparable from reading, and reading is also a universal cultural phenomenon. Studying the history of publishing from the perspective of reading history reveals that the red publishing of the Yan'an period was people-centered reading. The economic traits are manifested in the advertisements of the party newspaper, which first emerged as a commodity. Although the commercial attributes of party newspapers are not prominent, more to serve the political situation, focusing on the social benefits. However, when this stage is placed within the larger dimension of the century-long history of Chinese Communist Party publishing, the awareness of the CPC Central Committee of the commercial attributes of publishing was already emerging during the Yan'an period.

In the fourth chapter, high-frequency words are analyzed as well as coded in the policy texts to provide some basis for studying the publishing theory and publishing management system of the Communist Party of China. At the same time, this study analyzes and composes the views of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Mao Zedong and other leaders of the CPC on the issue of publishing. On this basis, this paper further makes a preliminary analysis of the formation of the Marxist view of publishing during the Yan'an period, the core essence of which is that Party publications must adhere to the principle of partyhood, the principle of peoplehood, the function of publications as propaganda and education, the protection of the right to freedom of publication, and the editorial policy of focusing on language style. In terms of the publication management system, the CPC also initially formed a leadership system of Party-controlled publication and Party-controlled publication work, gradually forming a more unified and centralized publication management system, presenting a clearer and more explicit top-down centralized guidance system and a bottom-up requesting and reporting system as a common working mechanism.

Chapter 5 summarizes the historical value of red publishing during the Yan'an period and its significance to the development of contemporary publishing industry. Its historical value is expressed as providing carrier support for the construction of revolutionary discourse system, ideological position for the Chineseization of Marxism, and practical basis for the formation of Yan'an publishing spirit. The revelation for the development of contemporary publishing industry is to always adhere to the overall leadership of the Communist Party of China in the publishing industry and the ideological leadership of Marxist theory in the publishing industry. Always adhere to the people-centered publishing orientation. To always adhere to the fine tradition of carrying forward the spirit of Yan'an publishing.
